Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Doesn't matter -- kicks ass either way!
Thanks much, Sir.
@WALKYOURPATH;
Yep. The effect of the tablet is more noticeable with my illustrated stuff. The deco stuff doesn't look too different, but that's mainly due to the process in how it is made.
@ZOMBUTLER;
fart noise.
(though you know, with all the recent c-blog spamming of youtube videos and single picture blogs, you might point out that you actually created this piece... that you spent the time and effort and had the talent to create these gaming related pieces of art... and didn't just copy/paste from some site somewhere!)
Never really thought about it. Just as disclaimer, any images I post here that aren't related to an editorial blog where screencaps or company-producted art from a game may be used, is 100% my own work. If there's ever any doubt, hop on over to my artblog, I tend to post my work there as well.
Surely you didn't take "fart noise" seriously? It's all good in the hood.
@MCBENNET;
I'll admit, the action was fun. Everything else was pretty cringe-worthy. Cobra Commander was wasted. Channing Tatum should never be allowed to act again.
@KOHLSTREAM;
Thanks, m'man. I wanted to add more detail to the Little Sister since she was smaller and more prone to getting kind of "fuzzy". In retrospect, I should have added more detail to the Big Daddy, but.. alas. An artist is never satisfied.
@JIM STERLING;
Thanks much.
I work exclusively in Photoshop for the most part. When I'm doing illustrated work, I usually run it through a preset autotrace in Illustrator before moving to Photoshop for coloring to give it a little extra smoothness that makes the linework pop a bit more.
Gimp's a good program, but I've never felt comfortable with it. I was raised upon Photoshop, so going to Gimp is like meeting a relative that speaks a slightly different dialect. You pick up on some of the words and phrases, but it's hard to make the complete translation.
also im in love with you

They don't even say "no".
