I love Herdy Gerdy. It was one of my first ps2 games and the visuals just blew me away.
I was expecting a long review of an old game but what I found was a question in the forums.
I played alot of U.N. Squadron for snes, I loved the upgrades and just the difficulty.
I was always a big ikaruga fan, it was so insanely difficult it gave you a hell of a sense of accomplishment
@dubbya
I still can't pass the fucking third stage on Ikaruga.
ED:SR is SWEET!
Halo... without a doubt.
Let the good times roll.
I really enjoyed Aerobiz: Supersonic for the SNES. It's an airline business simluation game from Koei and gets quite challenging later on. It would have been easier to play with a mouse than a SNES controller, but that's quibbling.
yosia island
yoshi's island, sorry
Okami bitches!
Beyond Good and Evil
Final Fantasy 7....
but seriously I agree with anyone who has said Eternal Darkness, Beyond Good and Evil, Psychonauts definitely, and more recently Zack and Wiki.
@Def JM
...yeah, I haven't played it in so long I imagine i wouldn't be much better
Still, it was an innovative game, even if it did make you want to rip out chunks of your own hair
Damnit just saw this post, I've been working on a top ten underrated games list, guess I have to tweak it a bit.
Underrated? Well, this seems to belong in the forums, but who am I to say something. Anyway, Eternal Darkness was widely acclaimed and was in fact highly rated. So that's out the door. I know many of us here on Dtoid love Final Fantasy Tactics, but check out it's MetaCritic Score: An 83 That is truly underrating a game.
BTW, it's kind of amazing to see how people's fond memories have changed their opinion of the titles, as evidenced by FF Tactics: War of the Lions MetaCritic Score: An 87 That's 4 points higher than the original, and still not quite high enough in my opinion.
simply Ico
Ico is also an underrated game, but much like FF Tactics it has amassed a wonderful cult community. It's supporters are fierce and will defend their game until the end.
I always really liked Hexen (PC) but it wasn't very well reviewed and I don't remember it selling particularly well on any of the 3 or 4 systems it came out on.
I think Advent Rising for the xbox was a very underrated game, it got average/bad reviews and the controls were a bit shit so most people didn't try it.
Eternal Darkness scared the living crap out of me. and i only watched my friends play it. so amazing.
