Graphically, the Wii is nowhere near the more powerful PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. However, thanks to an emulator called Dolphin, Super Smash Bros Brawl has received 720 graphical enhancements as demonstrated in the video below.

Yeah, I saw that on Kotaku yesterday. As soon as I get back on campus tomorrow I'm going to try it out. There are a few pretty sweet vids of it on youtube now. I had no idea before this that there even was Wii emulation already.

As soon as I saw that, I went and player Metroid Prime on it. Delicious, 10fps.

Like a moron, I was thinking at first that it didn't look any better. Then I hit full screen and HD, and I have to admit, it does look pretty decent.

Personally, while I think it looks amazing, I don't think it's that much better looking that the native Wii resolution. That game always looked as good as a 360/PS3 game.

As far as the emulation goes, it's really impressive that it can even run the game that well.

you need a decently beefy system to be able to emulate that smoothly I found.

Hahaha, I can imagine someone trying to run this on an older rig with like a 7000 series Nvidia card a low end dual core, and 2 GB of RAM after seeing this on youtube. That would result in massive fail.

I hope my rig can stand up, only my processor worries me.

How does that even work? I tried emulating Melee before brawl came out and it ran at a craw :/
