Hello Destructoid, May I Buy You a Drank?

So if you look closely at my blog you may notice that I'm posting my introduction to the community AFTER my submission to our monthly musings. Faux Pas? Deal with it, I'm punk rock like that.

I've spent most of my 18 years on Earth playing videogames, something I'm hoping the rest of you can relate to. Where we may differ is how we play games. Until recent years I was a mostly solitary gamer. Multiplayer games were never a big thing for me until I bought an Xbox 360.

I grew up with Nintendo so sentimentality makes it hard for me to make fun of them when they SO badly need to be knocked down a few notches. I like to think I'm not a fan-boy (anymore), but if someone says something ignorant about a game or system I am MORE than willing to call them out on it.

Also, Killer 7 is amazing. I am more than willing to explain to you why you're wrong if you question this.

about me

I've been gaming since an age where reading was considered an impossible task. If you don't like Super Mario RPG: The Legend of The Seven Stars, No More Heroes, Banjo Kazooie or Chibi-Robo, I'm not entirely sure we can be friends.

I'm a huge fan of RPG's, though I've moved more towards Western RPG's and away from the tradition Japanese Turn-Based games in recent years. All time favorites are Diablo II, Final Fantasy II (technically IV but fuck you), Super Mario RPG, and I'm basically a dirty whore for anything Bethesda produces. As far as hetero-mancrush's go, Todd Howard is second only to Christian Bale.

I'm also a big fan of action-adventure games, a few of my favorites being The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (over Ocarina of Time? BLASPHEMER!), Bully and Chibi-Robo.

If you put any sort of shooter in my hand I'll play it gladly, but only a few really stick out in my mind. The Timesplitter series, Bioshock, anything by Valve, Call of Duty 4 and the original Mercenaries are perfect examples.

And then there are the platformers of my youth. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Super Mario 64 are the two best Mario platformers. Period. Then there's Banjo-Kazooie (Yes, even Nuts and Bolts), and the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Trilogy to name a few.

I also like a bunch of miscellaneous games I don't feel like classifying. No More Heroes, Killer 7, Dead Rising, the Resident Evil series, Metroid Prime Trilogy (fuck Hunters), Super Smash Bros., Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Saints Row.

If you want to play a racing game other than Mario Kart or Burnout with me, you're SOL. Don't bother with most sports games either.

If we play any sort of party game (Mario Party), I assure you I will get wayyyy too competitive and we will never speak again.
