Install The New Xbox Experience Now On Your Xbox 360
Steve519 | 10:09 PM on 10.31.2008 11 comments

from Platform Nation

Apparently someone leaked the install files for the NXE on the internet and it is now available for all to try out.

Now to install this, it is really simple, all you have to do is download the update files, you can get them here. After you have the file, you just put it on the root of a USB drive, slap that bad boy into your Xbox 360 and turn it on. From there you will be asked if you want to update and now your off and running.

The link to the update file is posted at the Platform Nation link above

LittleBigPlanet on the iPhone
Steve519 | 5:30 PM on 09.16.2008 5 comments

I wrote this today on our site, http://www.platformnation.com/2008/09/16/littlebigplanet-on-the-iphone/ but figured I would spread it around as well as its pretty cool for us iPhone users.

Yes you read that correctly, you can now have LittleBigPlanet on your iPhone and its really simple to setup. Now to let you know when I said you can have LittleBigPlanet on your iPhone I wasn't referring to a special version of LittleBigPlanet made for the iPhone but a special theme that has been made to customize your wallpaper, icons and even iPhone system sounds.

Here are some screenshots to show you what it looks like:

Now I know your probably interested and really want to get this installed on your iPhone right away but probably not sure how so I'll walk you through it.

Step 1. Download QuickPwn - Now this will unlock your iPhone and install Cydia for you automatically. Don't worry its extremely easy and simple to do.

Step 2. Download WinterBoard - You do this by opening up Cydia and finding WinterBoard (under the system section) and once found, click the install button on the top right of your screen.

Step 3. Download LittleBigPlanet - This is the theme download, LittleBigPlanet is listed under the Themes (SpringBoard) section. Just find it and click install. (Now you might need to install the BigBoss & Planet-iPhone Source first, its listed under Repositories)

Step 4. Restart your iPhone - Unless it has already restarted AFTER step 2.

Step 5. Click WinterBoard on your iPhone, and select LittleBigPlanet. Now click your home button and wait about 5 seconds and your good to go.

Congrats on having the LittleBigPlanet theme. And special thanks to JoelG for spending his time to make this great theme.

Are The Rock Band 2 Drum Kits Broken?
Steve519 | 11:11 PM on 09.12.2008 8 comments

Remember all the issues the first set of instruments had for Rock Band 1? Well it looks like it might have carried over to Rock Band 2 as evident in this video. I'm noticed a lot of hit detection errors where the pad is hit but the kit and game is not registering contact. Go ahead and watch the video and decide for yourself.

Whats up everyone. I'm Steve if you haven't already guessed. And I do a lot of crap with gaming apparently. I used to host over at XBL Radio but I decided to start my own show up as well as my own site. So I started up a new podcast called, "The Gamers Pub." This show is about beer and games because thats what I know and enjoy best. The show comes out once a week on Monday mornings, you really should check it out, www.thegamerspub.com. The best thing you can do is just let us know what you think about the show, because after all, it is for you gamers out there. Besides that I also run the website, Platform Nation. Now this site is a little bit different then others. Platform Nation is a collaboration of several gaming podcasts who decided it would be best for our gamers, the podcasters and the rest of the gaming community if they came together to share efforts. Together we have a larger voice in the community for the gamers that we strive to speak for. We share the same forums and for the most part, share the same listeners. After all, we are a community, not a network. We have a shared set for forums for all the sites, forums.platformnation.com where we might not all have the same listeners for all the shows but the forums provide us with a place to bs with gamers from all different prospectives or ways of life. We seem to always have contests going on over there as well as weekly Saturday Night Gaming Nights where the community gets together for some friendly fragging or whatever else we are playing that day.

Here are some pics for you all to see what I'm about

Our gaming night pre-reqs

Me with the D-toid Robot

World of Conflict girl

Sword of the New World girl with the guys from XBL Radio

Husky Hog with us on some Halo action

I was invited to the Crackdown Community Event at Microsoft

And lets finish it of with my sexy wife

So thats me, I guess. I'm just a regular gamer who records myself talking and puts it out as a show.
