Semi-easy money in Tekken 6
Steel Squirrel | 9:07 PM on 11.04.2009 15 comments

Just in case anyone is having a difficult time making money for the lovely customizing of your favorite Tekken characters... I have a great way to grind for tons of cash and items. If you can manage to land some key items in the Scenario Campaign for the character of your choice, you can really rake in a load of cash and items which you can sell. (Warning: you may have to beat the campaign or get close to doing so anyway to get these higher level items)

The items I have set up on my character give me the following stat boosts:

-Increase attack 70%
-Increase Item Drop Rate 74%
-Elemental Ice Attack 18%
-Increase Health Meter 197
-Increase Fight Money Value 225%

So... if you can get the drop rate, fight money value, and attack increase items, you will be good to go. It helps to set up Alisa with some items like health boosts and attack boosts as well, just so she doesn't die all the time. After you get some higher percentage versions of these items, head to the G Corporation, Millennium Tower Heliport level. It is the one where you fight Kazuya for the first time.

As it is now, I rake in just over $750,000 bucks each time I complete the level and land about 8-12 items that are usually worth $120,000 or more each. I even let it go by itself for a while and Alisa fought for a good ten minutes earning me money and I came back and finished the level after peeling some potatoes.

After about an hour of grinding tonight, I have just over $17,000,000. Plenty of money to customize your characters with.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone else even bought this game, but if you did and have been cursing the high-ass prices of the customization items... hopefully this will help.

Before you say this should be in the forums... I posted it there too, but I wanted to make sure everyone on Dtoid that got Tekken 6 got this info. The prices for the items are fucking outrageous and I am trying to help promote communism in Tekken land.

Happy customizing!

Or you could just get by on the insane amount of cash you get from just playing campaign normally. Or even unlock the customisation stuff through campaign.

You really get a lot more this way I've noticed. I played all the way through the campaign and I only came away with like 4 million at the end.

And if you just rely on unlocking items as you play... you get some really crappy ones that you might as well sell and rack up money to pick out the ones you actually want. Anyway, this is just the easiest way I've found to get 17,000,000 bucks in an hour.

I guess I just don't see myself playing through the entire campaign with all 40 characters and I don't figure a lot of other people will want do that either. Just offering up a shortcut.

Where is the Mokujin stage? Is it one of the secret ones after you beat the main story?

I already customized all of my main characters up the way I want them, but it never hurts to have even MORE money.

How many hats do I unlock if I punch a kangaroo in the tits?

I've played through the main scenario path and finished with roughly 8,000,000.

See njsykora... that's my point... when a single hairstyle can cost you 3,000,000 bucks... you kind of don't want to play through the ENTIRE campaign again for a mere 8,000,000. It takes what... a few hours to complete the campaign? In about an hour I made 17,000,000 doing my little thingy. Anyway... shit works and Shin Oni sounds like he has an even better option.

I am definitely not going to play through the campaign again though... the story's not THAT good.

@Danmartigan

That's one of those age-old questions like "What is the sound of one hand clapping?"

I have about 32 million in fight money at the moment and have not purchased a single item of clothing. I only buy the hair styles and that's pretty much it. I do have equipped items that have 97% drop rate and increases them the items value by 143%, also I only plan on getting clothes for the characters I use, not with all 40 characters.

A portable version was released on the PSP in November 24, 2009. Tekken 6 is the first game to be released on the PlayStation 3-based System 357 arcade board.
