I am 36, male, and have been gaming since I could first hold any sort of joystick, trakball, or controller of any sort.
As one of "the olds", obviously my job (in retail hell) and other "mature" factors mean I don't game anywhere near as much as some people, but rest assured, they are always on my mind. I hope to talk about a variety of things in my blog, not just video games even though that's what Destructoid is all about. I primarily game on my Xbox 360 and my iPad, though occasionally I will play stuff on my laptop, though it's pretty rare since it really doesn't run games too well.
I also enjoy electronic music, films, literature, and daydreaming about one day becoming a deer with angel wings.

Quick post: So, I watched the Bioshock: Infinite video...

My immediate impressions were: boy this looks pretty hey that woman has an insanely tiny waist and very big breasts oh my god giant scary robot and gun-toting right-wingers and other dimensions what hey this "gameplay" video seems way insanely over-scripted but oh my god it's pretty wow steampunk blimps this is awesome.

I could elaborate on that, but I think it would get all chatty and boring, really. Suffice to say, I am looking forward to the game, despite what appears to be an insane preponderance of scripted dialog, cut-scenes, and overall AI behavior. I know there was some of that in the first Bioshock, but hopefully it won't turn into a crutch for the game here. I'm also a sucker for a good steampunk setting, so it has that going for it, too.
I would say C'MON 2012 GET HERE ALREADY, but then we'd all miss the cool shit coming out this year like.....Skyrim *drool drool*.... so maybe it's for the best that our pal Bioshock Infinite is not coming out for some time.

I don't really see her breasts when I watch the demo. I just see a really rich, vibrant, amazing, horrible world that I can't wait to play in. As for the scripted elements, oh sure, I think some of the scenarios are scripted but its more to show the public different elements of the game than trick anyone. The dialogue bits I think were mostly just to show the personalities of the characters to give us a feel for who they are. All I know is that I need this game in my life and behind my eyes. And an art book.

Also that whole Revenge of the Jedi/Everybody Wants to Rule the World bit made my soul wet.

Regardless, Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 are going to be a lovely time to be a gamer.
