About Me
I am 36, male, and have been gaming since I could first hold any sort of joystick, trakball, or controller of any sort.
As one of "the olds", obviously my job (in retail hell) and other "mature" factors mean I don't game anywhere near as much as some people, but rest assured, they are always on my mind. I hope to talk about a variety of things in my blog, not just video games even though that's what Destructoid is all about. I primarily game on my Xbox 360 and my iPad, though occasionally I will play stuff on my laptop, though it's pretty rare since it really doesn't run games too well.
I also enjoy electronic music, films, literature, and daydreaming about one day becoming a deer with angel wings.
Thank you for stopping in, please come again!

A day in the city...

Last I played GTA4, I decided that rather than do any major missions, I'd just sort of dick around for a little bit sort of absorbing the city.

First I went on a date, which ended well. I won't get into details because a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell.
Then I decided to grab a car for Stevie, as I do enjoy the whole "find this car without any help" thing.

I decided to get back to my safehouse by way of taking the train, which wasn't very far from where I dropped off my date. The train eventually arrived in an underground station and I made my way out slowly. There was a sax player doing his thing, so I decided to toss him some money. Some other asshole took the money instead and he and two of his friends decided to come after me, presumably for a robbery.

I made a dash for the exit in the hopes of finding a cop; I didn't want to start any trouble. When I got out into the streets the three men were all over me, beating me up. So, I decided that's it.....I'm pulling out my machine gun and making an example of these clowns. Two of them charged at me from across the road and as soon as they got a few feet from me, WHAM....a cop car plowed right through them, killing them instantly. The cop got out of the car and told the third guy to freeze, but he kept coming. The cop nicely plugged him from a good distance, and then, mumbling something about donuts, he hoisted himself back into his car and drove off.
I was pretty badly hurt, so I called the paramedics. They patched me up alright, but it cost a fortune. Damn modern health care.

I decided to catch a taxi the rest of the way home, but the driver decided that driving most of the backwards would be a good idea, wrecking some other cars pretty good. I finally made it home and realized what a crazy day I had.

Thanks GTA4.

Lmao, GTA4 Taxi drivers are actually based on true NYC cabbies. Very realistic.

I love this game because of the insane attention to detail, and this story exemplifies that.
