Set up and My holiday.
StRAWRberree | 7:08 PM on 12.25.2009 2 comments

So I thought I share some pictures of my lame setup since I already uploaded them on GB.

WARNING! Pictures might show about really big. I already sized them down from 3000px, not doing it again.

I probably rank really low in the most interesting and technical area of the "ELITE" gamer. But I like my zone.

My Dell 17inch Monitor
Under the desk is a Dell C521, Not a gaming computer AT ALL, but I still PC game.
Skullcandy Com Ti Headset
Logitech Mouse and Keyboard (S510)
Wacom Intuos4 Graphics Tablet and pen
Some batteries
Really pretty smelling lotion and other stupid shit.

Linksys wireless broadband router - Wrt160n
Xbox 360 Elite, 120 gb.
Some games
Receiver for my Turtle Beach headset

Coby 22" widescreen Tv/DVD

Excuse the random shit. When I took the picture's, I tried shoving away the prissy stuff.

So yeah. That is what I play with, draw with and watch with.

-

So since I don't really do family get together things, I spent the day talking to my brother in the navy, on L4D2, TF2 and drinking Pinot Noir. I'm normally a Cambria type of girl, but I was in the mood for something bitter. I got to see my other brother, his girlfriend and her daughter which was really nice and then the rest of the day, I fought with my mother...about my brother and his girlfriend. We won't get into that juicy mess though :). I'm pretty excited for the fact that my brother (the one I first mentioned) should be home from the Navy this New Years Eve. He's currently stationed in Virginia, and I haven't seen him in over a year. So I'm excited about that.

That's it. Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy
StRAWRberree | 6:20 PM on 12.20.2009 24 comments

Another talent taken away.

I don't know if any of you are even familiar with her, or even care for that matter, but I loved her in Clueless, as nerdy gone hottie Tai, in Uptown Girls and so many other movies. She had a spunky and cute attitude and made me laugh. Of course I had not thought of her since in a long time, the last thing I saw her in was Happy Feet. [well she voiced]

They say it was drug related, but you know, I don't like to discuss how they died and the bad things in a persons life when they pass. I find it a tad bit disrespectful.

So R.I.P. Ms. Murphy.

This has been a year of loss in the entertainment world.

R,I,P,:
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jackson
Ed McMahon
Steve McNair
Patrick Swayze
Billy Mays
David Carradine
Bea Arthur
Natasha Richardson [so very sad]
Ted Kennedy
DJ Adam
Chris Henry
Captain Lou Albano
Shiloh Pepin "Mermaid Girl" [She was quite a miracle and had such personality.]
Stephen Gately. [Do not know him, but apparently a well known man.]

Clearly people die everyday, and it shouldn't be different, but there's a stronger feeling when you grew up watching these people and loving most of them. Back in the early 90s when your entertainment came from a television set. I remember those days vividly, so I think that has a strong impact,

And also the fact that I'm insanely sensitive and easily upset when it comes to death.

I bought L4D2...totally worth it.
StRAWRberree | 8:49 AM on 12.20.2009 8 comments

So yesterday someone finally convinced me to get L4D2. I wanted it, but was so hesitant, for I believed it was going to be exactly like the first one. [Also, didn't want to spend the money] Boy was I wrong. After waiting FOUR hours to download it, for the first time, I started it up, already annoyed by the opening credits. I hate Opening credits.[Thank you -novid]. That feeling disappeared when I saw the menu and all of it's options.

First things first, I chose my settings and key lay out. Every game I play, I lay it out to TF2 settings, because it's the first PC game I played consistently. I use F for crouch, because my pinky is STUPID and doesn't listen to my brain telling it to hit the fucking ctrl button.

I join a game with a friend and we start a game realism on normal. I'm not about to get my ass diddled within 10 seconds of leaving the safe house, save advanced for later. After my stupid load time, I am welcomed to a game of orgasmicly orgasmic graphics and cgi of Dead Center. I run around a bit enjoying the scenery and staring at how cool the weapons look. After getting tired of my excitement of the spawn area, my teammate urges we move on. I grab a fire axe and head down the stairwell.

This is where any and all comparisons I was going to make to L4D were shot down. I swung my axe at an infected and their head came off. With gore, little chopped bits and all the yummy stuff Leatherface would get a boner over. I wanted to observe the detail on the dead body for a bit, but his infected friends wouldn't have any of it and charged me. I shot them with my gun and stopped once more after they were all gone. I stared at the back of a dead infected with disgust, interest and a little bit of glee. I could see his spine. I fucking blew into the back of his spine.

I could go on forever about what I did and how I played, but I think it's best to talk more about what I liked. Here is my top 10 list about the little things I love in L4D2. [Campaign, as I have yet to play versus]

10. Ellis. Yes. Like many men who want to screw Zoey and some who want Rochelle, I want Ellis. In all his stupidity and the excessive amount of pointless bullshit stories that comes out of his mouth, that southern accent is the center of my love for this character. Yeah, I have an obsession with those who resemble the voice of that smooth talking Gambit. He has some funny lines and Rochelle seems to hug his ass like a Koala. I can always entrust in her AI to heal me over someone else.

9. The wandering witch. O___O. I was walking down a hallway and run into a witch standing there, not sitting STANDING. She was of course crying like the emo she has always as been, only standing... I like it because it caught me off guard, I knew they messed around with the old infected, but not THAT much. It caught me off guard and in turn I ended up shooting her, alerting her and making her scratch the living hell out of my gonads.....She actually aimed for my characters crotch....

8. DEFIBS!! The first time I ever used Defib's in a game was in Saint Row 2. I can't even count how many times I shocked someone to death just so that I could shock them back to life and then repeat. Unfortunately, you cannot use them on alive people. I wanted to try them out as soon as I got them so I chainsawed my teammate untill he died. In turn, it ended up being a stupid idea, because later he ACTUALLY died and I couldn't revive him. Oopsies. If you find one, I recommend replacing your med pack with it.

7. Vile of barf. Oh how sweet it is throwing one at a witch, just to watch infected's attack her while she violently charges me as though I just grabbed the last Chanel bag at an outlet. [If you haven't noticed yet, I like to mess around a lot campaign!] This one is really helpful, if you are getting bombarded by a horde and there is special infected charging at you. It's a momentary distraction, depending on how much their health is, but still worth while. Doesn't work on teammates, so don't try it.

6. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!

Having an uncommon infected theme to each map brings another thing to each map that L4D didn't do, individuality. You've got your muddy mud-licking mud-men, crazy creepy clown-people; which I heard if you honk their nose, you get a achieveables! I just want to honk it, don't necessarily care what I get out of it, and other fucked up people that look different than the common infected.

5. CHAINSAWSSSSSS! Every great game has them, GTA, SR, Gears of War, Killing Floor and probably a bunch more that I have never played. All of course leaving you with the satisfying decapitation of a ruthless foe. [Or harmless civilian if you're that fucked up] Though this chainsaw has a limit on it, unlike those in other games. Great for playing in versus so you don't have idiots just sawing their way to the end, Lame for playing campaign because you don't have to worry about people strategically attacking you.

4. The mini-games in the dark carnival. The only ones I physically played were the Shooter game and A whack-a-mole type of game, only it's more of shoot-a-mustached-man.

3. Tasks. So far the only complicated task that I have done, was fueling the race car by collecting gas canisters. It was damn near impossible with me, who'd never played the fucking game before, my teammate and 2 VERY stupid AI's. So I decided, 'Hey...Let's just pick them up and throw them to the middle, Ya know...instead of fueling the car every time we pick one up'. I have yet to encounter more, as I haven't played ALL of the maps yet (I got sleepy!!), but if they're anything like that, then I'm sure I will adore this game for quite a while.

2. Special Infected's. Oh, how VERY much I hate them, but love the sometimes challenge they present. I'll start off by saying, I'm a spaz, so I screamed and squealed the first time the Charger came at me, because I didn't expect it. I have not really looked at trailers of L4D2, so I didn't know what to expect from new infected.

The Charger is a bastard. Although easy to kill, playing with AI makes this monster something to be feared.

The Jockey is a funny bastard because he hardly jumped on my head. He always went after my partner xD. He reminds me of the crawlers in Killing Floor and how they SHOULD have been programmed to attack people. Instead, they just hop at you like little annoying headcrabs.

The Spitter. The first time I saw her, the first thing I thought of was Yoko. Don't know who yoko is??
Enjoy....

1. FIREWORKS!

Beautiful.

If you were expecting an articulate review of the game, I whole-heartedly apologize. My intention was to bring a smile, not bore you to death! Which I probably did anyways.

I will most likely write another blog about versus gameplay, when I actually play the mode. I haven't found a group of people I can play with yet, so I'm avoiding it a little bit. I am happy that I bought the game and feel it was worth adding $49.99 to my $2000 debt. :)

Happy Holiday's!

A TF2 rant and a drawn ass. It's a hot ass!..not...maybe..not...

[Warning: If you're in the Grammar-Nazi mood, Don't bother. I know there are major errors, but it's the best you'll get from me when I can hardly see the screen. You can always just skip down to the picture :D]

The demo who got kicked for being good-NO! HACKING:[/b]

Yep. Me. Because I'm a good demo with a vagincuntwat, I got kicked from some RTD + Crit + Fast Respawn server. I don't even know WHY I joined the server to begin with. It was some no name server, with really loud and obnoxious players and RTD. [I HATE RTD]. I guess I joined it because I still have not found my main playing spot yet, so I'm still browsing for the right place.

ANYWAYS. I join, choose random teams, get red, go demo and start my fun fest of pub stomping on Badwater Payload. 10 minutes into the match I'm on top of my team, 2 deaths 30 somethin kills, and only about 5 were from a kritz. [Just in case you didn't know, most server regulars do not like ubering pubs...or healing them for that matter] I'm feeling good, feeling proud, haven't said a word and out comes "Mr. I-Can't-Accept-That-I'm-Terrible-At-This-Game" with his, "Yo kick Pinkish, faggot is hacking"

I'm baffled and taken back a bit. Is he just retarded? Am I THAT Good? Has he NEVER played in a Non-RTD-No-Crit Server?!

I of course defend myself and say in chat, "What gives you that idea?" At the same time an admin says the same thing, just not in those exact words.

His explanation? "I shot him like 5 times, DIREKTLY [YES! He spelled it with a fucking K] and he didn't die, then somehow reloaded and hit me with a magic crit. He had near full health when my kill cam got him"

BECAUSE YOU NEVER HIT ME! Here's what happened. Me VS Him, stairwell going to the roof by the second point. I'm coming down, he's coming up. He aims at the ceiling with rockets, I aim at him with pipes. He dies. I live.

So Mr. Admin, who happens to be on the other team as well, goes spectator and spec's me. I didn't know that was his intention at the time, because I was WAY too focused on the match. Here is the type of Demo that I am. I reload with major OCD. After there is a cool-down from attacking, or even if I just shot one pipe/sticky, I reload. I do that in EVERY shooter game that I play. Second thing about my demoing, I jump and move side to side a LOT. My sensitivity is really high, so if you spec'd me, you'd probably get a fucking headache. It's how I avoid getting sniped, back-stabbed and everything else. Third, I'm a health pack whore, even If I have like 10 damage, I run for a health pack nearby. If someone else needs it, I won't touch it, but when it's open, ITS MINE!!

Back to what I'm ranting about. Sir admin, rejoins my team and asks me in a stern, yet majorly nerdy voice, "Pinkish, please stop hacking or I'll have to remove you from the servers. I spec'd you and you move way too quickly and too fast for that to be normal. Your accuracy with pipes is unbelievable"

[P.S. I'm not accurate with pipes when people know how to play, otherwise, when I have a pyro/heavy/scout running in a STRAIGHT LINE AT ME, then I am accurate.]

I finally speak up and say, "It's called upping your sensitivity in the options menu, I'm not hacking, I just know how to play the game."

Mr. Dumb-stupid-fuck-with-Admin-powers, "I don't care what it is called, there is no possible way to play like you do without hacks and the fact that you're a girl does not help your case what-so-ever. Temp Ban"

The end.

People are just fucking stupid. I don't even remember the server name, but it was something stupid with symbols in it. I'll have to post it up sometime later in order to prevent more Skill-related Casualties!!

So In case you were wondering about that assssss.

I Present to you, a picture I drew today. It's a female version of the Engineer.
Enjoy. ♥

Jet Set Radio Wall Graphics....YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS
StRAWRberree | 10:29 AM on 12.04.2009 9 comments

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.ltlprints.com/JSRF

QUOTE:

[i]LTL Prints is launching a line of removable, reusable wall decals featuring art from Smilebit's 2001 Xbox classic Jet Set Radio Future. Now you can be reminded that there hasn't been another Jet Set Radio game in years every time you look at your wall! The company and license were brought together by John Doffing, one of the original curators of the Into the Pixel exhibit.

The site features a wide selection of character art as well as posters and even a graffiti image or two, all available in the size of your choice -- up to 7 feet tall. Want to turn your office into a shrine to Inspector Hayashi? Or maybe have a horde of Poison Jam watching you eat dinner?

The company claims that the decals can be moved and replaced 100 times without damage to walls, so you can spend plenty of time deciding which room to adorn with Bis, Corn, and Yoyo. Preferably a room with speakers in it -- you'll want to play a continuous loop of Cibo Matto's "Birthday Cake" for effect.[/i]

/QUOTE:

Being a major fan of The Original JSR and JSRF, to hear about this is just amazing and it's right on time for the holiday season. My eye is on that Gum VI wall graphic.

I do however have a few concerns. One being their lack of Gang graphics. The Love Shockers were my favorite thing about future, so I was disappointed not seeing them included, but nothing an email and a little hope can't fix. I also know a lot of people who played the game who would have adored having Poison Jam as an option.

My second concern is that insane price tag. It's going to take a LOT of convincing to get that on my wall when the size I want carries about the same price tag as a Nintendo Wii...

In the end, it's a maybe/want to but might regret it type of thing. Never the less it's something I would love to share with other fans who probably are willing to shed the colorful paper on it.

I've been gaming since I was a tiny tot. To be honest, I don't even remember that far back, but I think my first video game, was this game that I cannot fully for the life of me describe. I'll try to explain, but I only remember bit's an pieces. It was in Black and White and it was like a murder mystery game. You went through clues and stuff I think, and there's this distinct scene that I remember, where you open the back of a car trunk and find someone and then it says R.I.P. like game over or something. ANYWAYS, it started there but escalated with Donkey Kong Country. Me and my older brother would fight constantly, because he believed he was better than me, but that man failed MISERABLY against me.

Not gorgeous like the other hotties you see on here, but i'm content. Taken before I chopped off my hair for an A-Line cut, huzzah!

My father is overall the man who supplied me with every gaming toy I could ever want. From what I remember He bought us the Gameboy, Gameboy pocket, Gameboy color, Gameboy Advance, NES, Sega Genesis, SNES, the Atari Jaguar (which whenever I brought up having in class, NO ONE believed me because they had never heard of it. idiots.), Nintendo 64, Nintendo 64 Pokemon edition, Playstation, Pocketstation, PSone, PS2, PSP, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast (My MOTHER actually bought that for me, the this year decides to give it away!) and the original Xbox. The only systems I purchased myself were my PC and Xbox 360. It was pretty much an I ask, I get type of lifestyle.

In the ending months of 2007, I decided to sign up for the PMS clan as I was interested in the competitive scene. I met an amazing lady, who I am still happy to call a great friend and a few other interesting people. At first I was infatuated with the clan, completely dedicated to get my hours and what not. I even joined an MLG team and we were training hard to work together. At one point we actually managed to do 40 hours of practice to get ready for the season and when it came down to the ladders, we placed 188th out of how ever many hundreds of teams that were on the list. Unfortunately, not securing our 128th spot, making us eligible for the Meadowland's spot. After that we broke off and we're a team anymore. That's when everything started to take a downhill turn.

Me at my prime in the clan, before the maniacs went crazy

Then it went downhill with a shit-ton of events and everntually I left and intentionally got myself banned by the one only cuntess of the PMS clan. I wont mention names, but if you played with her, YOU'D KNOW LOL. I met amazing people in PMS and some pretty retarded people as well, but none the less it was a fun year there. The ones that anyone who mattered were a regular in this thread http://www.pmsclan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24818 Re-reading it brings back so much nostalgia and what were good days, before the places flooded with insecurity and over-all unpleasantness.

Moving on...I Gamed via xbox up until Fall/Winter 08' the switched over to PC. My friend that I mentioned previously gifted me L4D. We both had it on Xbox and it was nice to have it on PC where she did as well. We gamed for a few months, then I became so busy I eventually quit gaming and gave my account to a friend. I only recently got back into it and I am retrieving said account back from my friend complete with a multitude of games that she had accumulated on there. I recently got a new 360, sleek Elite and a few games. Not everyone is still around, but the ones that matter still are. That's good enough for me.

Aside from gaming, I am into art and digital design. I have a deviant art, which will be linked below and I use a great multitude of programs from Photoshop Cs4, Flash Cs4 and Corel Painter 11. My tools are my Wacom Intuos4 and a mouse.

My music interests are incredibly weird. I love Rock/Metal, but I adore Classical music. I'll dance and workout to techno, but I couldn't tell you any favorites other than Cascada and ATB. I ABHOR rap/r&b music which concludes to me not having as many "black friends" as I should. By their distinction, I am an Oreo, which is cool because I think oreo's are yummy, but also stupid that a lot of people in this race accuse others of being racist when they throw out stereotypes like that. Stereotypes are stupid, but when people meet me, they are shocked by my Valley Girl proper-ness. Perks of being raised in Prep Town.

Overall I think I'm fun, I love to laugh, hate taking pictures of myself, but love taking them of everyone else. I love to make people smile and I love to gameeeeeeeeeee.

TL;DR:
I game and maintain a life.
I shop and maintain an empty wallet.
I paint which contains my sanity.
I work which gets me the things i want.
I'm awesome so you will like me.

The end......HUZZAH!
