So, Microsoft is not "Reintroducing" the Xbox One After All

Less than a week ago, I posted a blog here giving my opinion that Microsoft should just start off on a clean slate, and re-announce the damn Xbox One. I believed that this was a reasonable recommendation to finally clear the air and get on the same page with the media and consumers on exactly what the Xbox One is going and not going to do.

Apparently, I was not the only one who felt this way as rumors online started to gain traction that Microsoft will reintroduce the embattled console at some future press event to get a "fresh start in their relationship with the media and consumers." I was about ready to gloat to my wife and proclaim myself one smart cookie, until Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb decided to open up his maw and burst my fucking bubble.

On an Xbox One Subreddit Major Nelson has confirmed that Microsoft has no plans to reintroduce the console. All I can say is that this is indeed disappointing news. Gamescon in Cologne Germany is less than a month away and it would have been the perfect time to truly make a splash and get people excited in the land of lederhosen und bier. Instead another squandered opportunity and once again, Microsoft is ignoring what the public wants. There is now literally no reason what so ever to attend Gamescon.

Okay, well maybe there are other reasons to attend Gamescon after all.

Microsoft has been in the waffling mood lately, so maybe if enough folks make a big enough stink about this, they'll change their mind yet again and surprise us. In the meantime, I give them Ribbons of Shame.
