That was young Samus?
God damn it Team Ninja.
In before a volleyball game featuring Daisy and Lyn too.
"On top of that, how did they secure a vaccine from the Metroid larva in Fusion?"
They managed to have an entire stock of Metroids that they grew themselves from the little time they had with the baby Metroid, so... you know... that might explain it...
Anski's right. It's even explained in Fusion. Well, spoilery and all, but haven't most people beaten Fusion by now?
I still find it somewhat interesting that Samus has (partially) become the very thing she was sent to destroy three times over. ...Well, okay, add the Prime games and still...
Akski and Doomsday are right. Hell, it probably wasn't even a vaccine made from the exact Metroid that saved her. I know that makes it somewhat less important but it's more likely.
We'll have to wait a while before a trailer with more definitive answers arrives. Until then speculation like this is fun.
Also, does anyone feel like they are trying to avoid Fusion? It's like how the Devil May Cry series refused to go past 2. Sure, I think Fusion is a disappointment and the plot is kinda dumb, but I also thought that Adam and Samus's Fused DNA could be fantastic plot points for a Metroid V (which I still hope they are making).
I think the game looks badass.
I think this is Metroid 5
