I don't know. It's possible mainly because I believe the life cycle of the Wii is going to be shorter than the X360 and the PS3. But it's not going to happen any time soon if ever. Like, I mean 3 years minimum.
The Wii has a very substantial lead. I agree with guitar, I don't see it this year, maybe further down the line. The PS3 has more of a gap to overcome, but with some of their big name exclusives coming out this year they could close some ground but I don't see it flying off the shelves as fast as the Wiis did. However, with those rebate bonus checks coming out this summer those that were looking for either the 360 or the PS3 have some extra cash to throw around so who knows.
Not with Brawl and Wii Fit coming out this year. Besides the Wii will see a price drop at some point. It's just right now it's selling like hotcakes so there's no need to even drop it yet.
I agree, it isn't going to be for awhile. Obviously, 360 would catch them first, but I think that both will catch. The Wii has enjoyed a substantial price difference, but with the other console dropping, I think that the other two will have even more momentum. Also, the Wii suffers from supply issue (why? I still can't figure out). That could also drive the sales of the other two consoles.
There are a lot of wiis, but the people i hear talking about them (and the first person I knew that had one) are the same people I remember were out picking up tamagochis and furbys and tickle me elmos. I still don't know anyone who regularly buys video games that owns one.
I'm not bashing the wii, it's got some good shit, I'm just making an observation.
SSB is the only game that I think people are just waiting on for the Wii...can't think of anything else.
The Wii has much greater appeal to familes looking for a console, thanks to the Nintendo name and the perception that kids will be more active while playing it. And of course "buzz" is another reason why people want it so badly. I honestly think the price is one of the least important factors in its sales lead so far.
