I was just reading a post on another site that said that Sony and MS may be in talks to bring a Blu-Ray addon to the 360 and maybe eventually making a SKU with Blu-Ray built into the 360. I have both systems, so it doesn't matter to me. But, are 360 owners really going to buy this? It is still only rumors, but this could be interesting in the console wars. I am not sure how much it is going to cost, but I would think it would raise the price of the 360 and the addon may be pricy as well. I understand that Sony is a business and they want to make as much money as possible (and they would with every sale of a 360 addon, new SKU and PS3), but if Sony is trying to push consoles, I am not sure if this is a wise move. I am not sure what to make out of this, what do you guys think?
I read this earlier somewhere else. Might have been engadget. They said they had begun talks but I think a brand new SKU with a built in drive is pretty fucking unlikely. I doubt Sony are going to give microsoft the option of blu-ray games. Films is a possibility though, maybe an add-on but no way will it be a built-in feature.
When I read this, I was thinking to myself that this would never happen. I think it would take a lot of synergy that I am not sure logistically could happen. But hey, what do I know.
Yea, I can't wait for the PS3 version either. What's your PSN name? I'll throw you an invite. You should join the crew for Warhawks on Wednesday nights if you have the game.
I don't have Warhawk, but I have been thinking about buying it because I have seen so many people on DTOID talking about it. I am playing UT3, Burnout, NBA2k8 and Team Fortress. I am new at TF, but I love the engineer.

about me
Sup DTOID. I am really big into gaming and comics. I am a proud owner of a PS3 and Wii. I just recently sold my XBOX360 because I was having a lot of issues with mine, but thinking about picking one up again in the future when hardware issue get better. I even play my PSP when I am on the road. I am into FPS, sports games and anything that is fun. My first gaming experience was when my dad brought home an Atari 2600 and we use to play tennis on there for hours. From there the passion grew.

@ SoopaFly
Dude, I see that SOCOM 2 is one of your favorite games of all time. Great fucking game. I poured countless hours into it.
I am so excited for the SOCOM on PS3. I looks awesome. I play SOCOM on my PSP, but it does it no justice. Before COD4, there was SOCOM 2. Love it.

You should play MrSadistic in Unreal Tournament 3. He fucking sucks.
Look for a friends request from wtfistheinternet.
Cool sounds good. I don't have anyone on my friends list that plays UT3 too. I am usually going at it alone.
oh noz!
so each time someone buys the add-on, MS has to pay Sony for each sale. lol.
Thatīs as true as 3 dollar bill with Ron Workman in it.
If it were to happen, I think it'll only be an addon. Putting bluray into their console would be foolish.
I'd give a maybe to the fact that MS is looking to pursuing Blu-Ray but when it comes to actually working with Sony, I'd give a big, "No Fuckin' Way"
