In the latest Game Informer all previously leaked information from Ass' Creed 2 was confirmed. The game takes place in Venice, therefore expect some kick ass buildings to climb and jump around, such as St Mark's Basilica.
This holy place will probably show up in the game. Kick ass.
The view will be like this, only without any recent buildings!
Also confirmed is the main character's name, Ezio. It's a cool, foreign sounding name, but does it beat Altair?
Here's hoping that for the third outing, Ubisoft sets the game in Barcelona, in the modern days. If only to climb Gaudi's still WIP Sagrada Familia:

because AC 1 had,what, 4 cities right?
Well, we know the surrounding country side of Tuscany is going to be in the game, and the main character is from Florence. Even though they're geographically far apart, I'm betting they're going to be part of the game as well.
All the information we have is just leaked; nothing is officially announced, as far as I know.
We also know that the assassination attempt of Giuliano de Midci is going to be part fo the game, which took inside the Basillica di Santa Maria del Fiore, located in Florence.
Built in the 13th century, it's quite an impressive piece of architecture... and we're pretty much guaranteed to see, and Florence, in AC2.
