I'm Batman, Michael

Knight Rider - popular Hoff-helmed crime-fighting TV epic of the 80's is being remade this year for NBC. Something that many will already know no doubt, but news has reached mine ears that the voice of the much loved super-car - KITT - will be none other than Batman!

"Val Kilmer has apparently stepped in to provide the voice of KITT in NBC's revival of hit 80s TV show Knight Rider. He replaces comic actor Will Arnett, who reportedly had to step down due to a conflict of interest."

See MSN says it's true! Val Kilmer will be voicing our favourite sarcasticly cool...Ford Mustang??? (Ford Mustang?! Jeez, why not round off all the really cool sharp edges and wrap it in bubble wrap for good measure! *ahem*)

Kilmer has had a good resurgence in his career of late but is he right to do something like this? I don't know...to me it just feels a little like he's gone back to selling out again. But hey, what with the success of all the other re-franchised franchises such as Bionic Woman, Battlestar Galactica and The Sarah Conner Chronicles - maybe I'll be wrong and Knight Rider 2008 won't suck as much ass as the Blade series did.

My Brain looks like yo Mother...Brain

Hmm....seems slightly familiar to any Metroid-gleaned eyes doesn't it?

I wonder if Nintendo have spied the similarity between their Aurora-Unit-Turned-Evil and this 'Educational Toy'. All I know is you wouldn't catch Mother Brain teaching kiddies the universal encyclopedia not when there are planets to control, space pirates to reign over, and bounty hunters to destroy. Education of the laser-kind only!

What's worse is the $119.95 (that's around £79.00 for those of us with limey origins). I thought you paid for schools to teach kids anyway?

 about me

I am a typical Brit! That means sarcasm is plentiful, tea is essential, and a general grumbling about later release dates is to be expected.

I mostly play RPG's and have been a lifelong fan of the Metroid and Final Fantasy series.

Anything that Square-Enix thinks can make them more money out of their fans from I will probably be in the queue for - I owe thanks to Destructoid for giving the news of my limited edition Crisis Core PSP out. My life would be incomplete without another piece of Final Fantasy-related gumf.

I'm a curious gamer too. The type that looks a little too deeply at games a little too often, but then can simply enjoy the warm-fuzzy feeling from holding the shotgun in FPS games...

I've been having issues with Xbox live for a while now so mortifyingly have to play under my dad's gamer tag...

Currently Playing: Well, I finished LocoRoco at last and I am currently playing jack shit whilst I wait for Play.com to restock Zack and Wiki...
