RockBand79.com? More like 79 days to ship it.
SnatchTease | 4:37 PM on 11.06.2009 2 comments

So anyone who reads gaming blogs by now has probably heard of the great deal of RockBand Special Edition + RB2 for only $79 from MTV. When ordering it says "up to 14 days" to process your order, which is a bitch, but anyone with a bit of patience could wait two weeks for a good deal, right? Well, I asked the sttus of my order and here was the response in an e-mail...

"
> Unfortunately, Rock Band Special Edition for Xbox 360 is currently out of
> stock. We have placed this item on back order and expect it to become
> available for shipment within 30 days. As soon as the order ships; you will
> receive a tracking information via email.
"

So, knowing that expectations are the mother of all f-ups, and they need 14 days to process a simple order, I doubt on ever seeing my shipment, especially within the next 30 days. Granted it's MTV, a network who has given as much devotion as making children mindless idiots in this decade as they did in the 90's. I just want to be a mindless idiot playing fake instruments made for mindless idiots on my idiot box. What's the hold up? Oh yeah, MTV.

It makes my current lag on Xbox Live look speedy! That is bad!

Look on the bright side, a lot of my orders from Japan take that long to get to me in the UK, and a book I ordered from the US took 4 weeks to ship.

I guess you're going to have to suffer the cost of going for an item that's in heavy demand right now. It's going to take a while for them to ship all the backlogged orders.

Hell, I got my friend a Pandaren thing for WoW when it was announced as a gift, and it STILL hasn't even processed DIGITALLY. What, one little line of serial key takes that much processing?
