Lots of upcoming rehashed movies that are being rereleased so we can rewatch the same reruns of retards : This is the defenition of Re-Movie, "when Hollywood is so out of ideas that they resurrected the horses they beat to death years ago." - quoted from D.
And it's true! Come on Hollywood! At first, a Dragonball, Thundercats, and Voltron movie sounded fantastic. Now with the writers strike, they're trying to push every piece of nerd property out the door so quickly that who knows what will happen to our precious childhood memories. Case and point : Knight Rider. Meet Kit.
This is what we have to look forward to. It's another "omg you put flames on Optimus Prime" moment, but still I would've rather seen a bad ass looking Camero rather this Mustang. There hasn't been any news on character casting or plot, but bet me know what you guys think!
Update : As it turns out, there are alot of news concerning this film. To see someone talk that's smarter than me, please turn your attention to Guitar Atomik, who has posted his infinite wisdom in the comments.

Pic one looks way too ricey for my tastes (two rear spoilers?).
Pic two just looks like a really bad shoop job.
Actually, both of them look to have some bad shoopery involved.

I hear Will Arnett will be the voice of KITT.

More Pics
Will Arnett is apparently the new voice of KITT as well.
The funny thing is that none of this has anything to do with the Knight Rider MOVIE that the original creator of the show is developing. Apparently NBC has the rights to do a Knight Rider TV show but the creator still has the rights to do a movie independently.
Word has it that NBC rushed the show out the door to counter against the upcoming movie.
