Or so I heard....I haven't bought the game yet but instead I decided to pick up Battalion Wars 2. I can't believe this game has gotten so little press it is the most fun I have had on my Wii since Twilight Princess almost a year ago. The main thing that had me worried about the game was the multi player aspect. That portion of the game is both good and bad, despite the fact that finding a game is easier with the random game option it is still lacking since it does not include any voice chat. I doubt Nintendo will ever include voice chat in an online game but it still would be nice since on some game modes you need to communicate with your teammate. Anyways if anyone wants to play online feel free to hit me up my friend code is: 373 777 186 453
This is more of a continuation of sorts I guess to the blog I wrote last night(no not the one of my blue haired angels) about Half Life 2. It took me three years to finally get around to playing it but I beat it this afternoon. Impressive and immersed are the two words that come to my mind right now in regards to Half Life 2. The lack of cut scenes and showing Gordon in the third person really do wonders in fully immersing you into the experience. From being put on a train with no idea of what has transpired in the beginning to the ending that left more questions then answers I was hooked.
Of course the game is not without some gripes though, the main one being your fucking squad getting in your fucking way later int he game when you are trying to get shit done without the Combine turning you into a piece of swiss cheese! There were several points later in the game when I was just yelling "Get the fuck out of my way you fucking cocksucker" to the medic who refuses to give me a first aid kit when I am at 40% health standing in front of the doorway with a room full of fucking medkits.
Time to dig into Episode 1 and TF2....
ps: Here she is in all her sexy nosed wacky hat wearing glory!
I have been obsessed with Half Life since I decided to join the rest of the gaming world this month and finally play it. While I was browsing around on YouTube I found some pretty interesting Half Life videos. The first one is a really well done fake trailer for a movie version of Half Life. The second one is a song using sounds from the game.
Edit: Since the videos won't upload here are the links for both vids.
Snatcher is the first game that I have played that has lived up to the hype surrounding it. For those who haven't heard of Snatcher it is a game made by everyone's favorite insane genius, Hideo Kojima. It pretty much plays out like a graphical choose your own adventure game with some gunplay thrown in for good measure.
So far I just finished Act 1 and the game really has a great sort of charm to it. There is a lot of references to the Metal Gear series along with other Konami games like Castlevania plus it seems to have a habit of breaking the fourth wall. Anyways, if TF2 and Crackdown Beta don't grab me in their icy cold death grip I am going to find more time to play through the Snatcher in all it's Gillian Seed being creepy with the ladies glory.
