I'm not really too interested in this either (I'm a huge fan of teh Halo series though), but I know a lot of people who will be.
I'm still waiting for the next Mass Effect book, though.
Also, no need to be hatin'. seriously.
I'm not going to lie. I like the Halo novels (most of them anyway). The games actually do a really bad job of telling the plot but the books are a pretty fun read.
That said, I wouldn't say I'm excited for this. But I will probably get around to reading it one day.
But yeah, I'm more excited for the new Mass Effect book.
Dont want, at all
I'll get it because I like the Halo universe but the games themselves barely explain the verse around you. Heck in the Halo: CE, they don't even explain the course of actions that led you to Halo.
"maybe I'm just angry that literature has become such an ignored medium of entertainment."
Yeah I know, it's not HD or adapting to technology. Bawwwww.
What are you talking about? I read all the time, and know tons of people who read more than they game, and they LOVE games.
Also if you hate Halo, then why does this blog exist?
I don't hate Halo, just the dozens of clones it has spawned.
I like the Halo books. I'm just about done with First Strike. I really enjoy the story of Halo, but the games do a shitty job of telling it. Fall of Reach is an excellent book if you are curious how the Spartan program started.
One of the three reporting in. I'm excited :)
I think its ok if it gets kid into reading, like you said. But yeah, lets hope they step up the quality of their literary intake one day.
