DS vs Wii - Hmmm, little help?

So I get paid in exactly 13 days and I'm planning to buy myself either a Wii or a DSLite. But I have no idea which one I should get! I wrote down all the games I want for each unit and there is a pretty equal list when it comes to quantity and variety, but when it comes down to what I really want to play, I'm probably siding with the DS.

I don't want a 360 at the moment. I'm waiting until the end of the year when it has some good exclusives and new motherboard, so don't bother mentioning that. I spend most of my time at home, only venturing out on weekends every now and then, so I guess a Wii would be more suited to my lifestyle. But the DS has some awesome looking games I NEED to play, like Phantom Hourglass and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

I'm really stuck at a crossroad here guys. Can you think of any reason I should buy either unit? Any games I should know about that I haven't listed? Any kind of advice would be appreciated.

P.S. If you tell me this belongs in the forums, you are automatically telling everybody that you enjoy having a penis in your mouth.

between the two i would personally get a ds.

also, your already siding with the ds.

get a dreamcast too..iv had mine for a few days now and its fucking amazing.

also you need to go into your posts and make the one with no title hidden.

if you get a ds with an r4 or a fire card then you can get a crap load of ds games which would last alot longer than the wii

Also, Reaprar, give me some examples of good exclusives for the 360. Because I don't know of any.

Crackdown? No thanks.
Dead Rising? Finished.
Lost Odyssey? Not interested.

@reaprar: there are rumors that the jasper chip for the 360 is coming out mid-end of this year, and at a reduced cost of the current 360. It IS just a rumor, but it M$ did it once before...

If I were you, I'd take the wii considering you don't travel out much, and with SSBB, Galaxy, and all those epic exclusives you can't go wrong.

I guess that all depends on whether you'd rather play your third party shovelware at home or on the go. I kid, I kid, get a DS.

Hmm... Good list for both systems. I'd suggest Zack & Wiki for Wii as well, along with Mario Kart. Bully was a lot of fun as well if you haven't already played it on PS2. Hotel Dusk is a very cool adventure game for DS I didn't see on your list. It looks like you already have a PSP for your portable fix, so I might say go with a Wii first and DS later myself. I've been spending a lot of time recently playing Cube games on the Wii, picking up stuff I missed the first time for cheap now. Plus, River City Ransom on the VC next week. :)

Ah yes the VC, I totally spaced and forgot about that little gem of a service! And BC also! I could sell my gamecube and make $20!

Theres also quite a price difference between the two.

Wii's being AU$400 and DSLites being $185. I could buy a DS with a few games for the price of a Wii. But I can buy VC games with the Wii...

Man, still a really tuff choice.

I have both, and despite having an R4 with a shed load of games on it, I still find myself playing my Wii more. Even though I have but a few games.

Get a wii, get mario galaxy, mario kart, smash bros brawl, zelda tp as definite buys.
