Just so you'll know I canceled my pre-order of Modern Warfare 2, because of the crap PC gamers had to put up with. These morons don't know who they're fucking with! You can't pass shit like that on PC gamers you dumb fucks. And now you're gonna pay. Good job throwing money away. Yeah sure console gamers will buy your game because it's designed for consoles in the first fucking place, but you lost a great deal of money from PC sales.
And don't tell me 'Lol like they care... they sold like 1.5m copies in a day. It's the best selling game ever'. To that I say that it could have been 2.5m or even 3m.
Think I'm wrong? let's do some math ok?
According to the PC Gaming Alliance, there are around 100 million PC gamers with good PC's that can run the latest games with good performances around the world.
Now, just to please all you 'PC Gamers = Pirates' thinking people out there, let's assume that like... 60% of the 100 million PC gamers are pirates who will never buy a PC game. So that leaves 40% of legit owners.
40% of 100 million is 40 million gamers. Now let's assume, since Modern Warfare 2 is the biggest game of the year, 60% of these 40 million gamers were interested in this game, shall we? 60% out of 40 million is 24 million.
So that's 24 million gamers who are interested in buying Modern Warfare 2 on the PC. Let's assume 10% of them are from the US, since PC gaming is not as strong on the US as it is on the rest of the world. So that's 2.4 million gamers.
Now, after that crap they did, let's assume that out of these 2.4 million gamers, only 5% of them bought this pathetic excuse of a PC port. And if you Don't think the % of the people who bought it is that low, just see how PC gamers review this game on various sites (IGN, Gamespot, and even GT which is mainly a console gamers site).
So the final sales figure: 12,000 copies.
Keep in mind that I'm not talking about 1 week sales, I'm talking about a figure which will be reached after a few months of release. So that means that the PC version of this game probably sold like 100k copies so far.
So after a few months of this game being released, IW and Activison could get at least 24 million sales out of the PC. It sounds like a huge number. 2 huge to be true, I know. but that IS the truth. You just never hear about PC figures because most sales go through steam or Direct2Drive or various other online shops, but the fact is... that Activision and IW spitted in the face of the gamers of the biggest platform there is. Maybe it's because of past experience they had with the PC (Call of duty 4 pirate issue) but it doesn't matter. Cod4 wasn't a high profile game on release. This was. Big difference.
So yes, my math is probably off. I'm not a pro at making sales statistics and estimates, true, but it's just to give you an idea on how stupid IW and Activision really are.
Even if I'm 50% off here, that's still 1.2 million sales from the PC...
To sum it all up for you, Activison and IW: You fucked up. And now you're paying for it. But us PC gamers sure aint gonna be paying for it. I'm not gonna be paying $60 (Which is the most expensive PC game out there now....) for a game that barely deserves the $29.99 price tag. Maybe when it'll reach this price (And it will for the PC, believe me...) I'll buy it.
How dare you even charge $60 for that game? How dare you make your game the most expensive one on the PC when it's 1 of the most mediocre PC shooters that's been released this year? This is the result of a HUGE ego right there folks. This is what hype does to game developers. When everyone keeps saying 'This is gonna be the game of the year' to a game developer, you can bet your ass his ego would be huge.
Fuck you Infinity Ward, Fuck you Activison, Fuck Modern Warfare 2. I would pirate it, but it's not even worth my HD space.
Oh and... You know where you can shove that online system of yours...
P.S: Sorry if i made math mistakes, but you get my point... I'm not a math genius. Sue me! :P
P.S.S: I do not support pirating in any way. It was just my way to say I don't want this game on my PC in any way. But even if it's a horrible game, don't pirate it.

Kinda shows that a lot of "boycotters" are still playing the game on PC, so maybe Activision won't be losing too much money.
And that boycotting community is a joke. I wasn't even talking bout these clowns. Boycotting groups are useless and most people who join them just do it for fun, and they don't really care what it stands for in the first place.
Why can't PC gamers get over themselves? No mods I can understand is a bit of a gripe, but the dedicated server drop is seriously NOT a problem. Having to wade through an unintuitive list of servers to find a game which then might be full of uber-leets or full of mods you don't want (not just talking MW2 now, just generally). Matchmaking gives you the best connection it can find, maybe gives you half a chance of winning by pairing you with players near enough to your own level. CoD4 on the Xbox was perfectly fine with Matchmaking, so there's no reason MW2 won't be. It does have its disadvantages but so does Dedicated Servers, its certainly shouldn't make or break a purchase.
And the 9v9 is fine too. IW wouldn't cut it down if having more than that would seriously hurt the experience. And I don't think I ever had a game bigger than that on CoD4 anyways, so it hardly matters. Anymore than 18 on a server would be a landmine for lag, framerate loss, and grenade spam. Again, it not like the game has drastically changed just because you have 3 people less per team to shoot at, so I really wouldn't base my decision on it.
It's only unintuitive to those that don't take the time to figure out what the fuck all the numbers mean...
Seriously, you have a server name, the name of the current map/level, number of players/max players, and the ping... In steam, you can get a pop-up window that shows the current players and scores too. How is that hard to understand?
Dedicated servers means everything. Let me explain...
What MW2 uses now is basicly a p2p method. The servers run off your own private connection. What this means is, crappy ping, lags like hell and you can only have ahh... i think 16 or 18 players in a server (I think 16 but can't remember).
Dedicated servers have the word 'dedicate' for a reason. These servers are DEDICATED to run online games. They don't have any other usage. On a private PC people who host the game sometimes go do other stuff with their net like watch youtube vids or download something, and that makes the game lag even more.
Dedicated servers are powerful and they use a strong net connection which allows higher player support with less, to no lag.
Also, with dedicated server, you can choose a server that's located in your area. There, you will have the lowest ping you can have and you will be able to enjoy a lagless game. It also helps create server communities. Regular people who will come back to the same server, cuz they like it.
With this stupid system IW made, none of that stands. And that's fucking stupid...
Sure, maybe it would be marginally better. The game would also be better if the single-player campaign was longer, or if it teleported hookers into the room after every kill, so how about all you PC gamers get off your ivory towers and just enjoy the damn fucking game how it is?
Marginally? You're fucking serious? You can't figure out how to use a server browser and yet you feel you're qualified to state how beneficial dedicated servers are? Didn't anyone teach you to keep your mouth shut if you don't know what you're talking about?
And last I checked, my money sits in my bank account, and is spendable only by me. So no, I'm not going to spend it on something I don't agree with (*ehem, MW2).
