When it comes to video games I am obsessive-compulsive about beating them. If I start a game I must finish it. No matter how bad, or how hard it is I will not rest until the ending credits have rolled across the screen. Like Bruce Hornsby says ... that's just the way it is!

Rock Out with your Block Out

”Rock Out with your Block Out”

This is the first thought that came to my head when Harmonix officially announced LEGO: Rock Band today. I mean what could be more off the wall then playing Rock Band with LEGO characters. Now I’m sure some of you think this is just a totally juvenile idea that just screams of Harmonix trying to make some extra money by appealing to a younger generation. I don’t care though, because I grew up in the 80’s playing with LEGOs, and the idea of having my Rock Band character being made from them is totally AWESOME!

My question is, will there be special LEGO guitars that are sold with the game? That would only increase my desire to get this game even more. I mean come one, if I’m playing LEGO Rock Band, I want to be playing it on a guitar constructed out of LEGOs. That is the only real way to play this game. For that matter the drum set and the microphone should also be constructed out of LEGOs. It’s the only way to truly get the LEGO Rock Band experience.

Well as you can see, I’m totally excited about this game. So who wants to grab their LEGO Bass Guitar and come jam with me?

Just imagine .... this could be YOU ....

"Rock Out with your Block Out"

Slap that shit on a T-shirt and you've got yourself...well, something. I dunno.

A guitar made of Lego bricks is just ASKING to be smashed on the floor. Like not even in the badass rock 'n' roll kinda way, I'm thinking more of the "older dickhead brother" kinda way.

If there is some way for me to smash Legos and then put them back together in new and awesome ways with my axe then I'm all in.

P.S.--did you actually build that lego guitar?

@Phantom: I wish I had built that Guitar Hero LEGO Guitar. Unfortunately I just found the picture on the internet. I wouldn't be shocked though if there was a guy out there who would build one for you for the right price.

Thiat guitar has The White Stripes' "Fell In Love With a Girl" written all over it. I'll never get that music video out of my head.

Damn, the case for Guitar Hero looks so foreign since it doesn't have a number next to "Guitar Hero" or a subtitle.

I didn't know, what a useless collaboration.

I was so excited when I read about this! i had rockband for the PS2, so i was stuck with the same 4 crosseyed bands! I loves me some lego star wars! unfortunately, i was not a creative kid, so most of the things i built were 1 room ranch houses w/o roofs.
