Hello Dtoid community, I've finally decided to join your community because of all the great things I've heard about it. And by all the great things, I mean just the things I hear from my friend: LawOfThermalDynamics

My so called "friend" trying to put my head into a TV for God knows that reason...

Why did I join?

After seeing my acquaintance writing a few blog posts about random video games and the like, I felt that I could contribute some information about video games as well. I guess I should start by listing the games I like. (and don't like)

Favorite Games of All Time:
-Paper Mario 1/2
-9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
-Fire Emblem 7
-Custom Robo
-Portal 1/2
-Bastion
-Kirby Air Ride
-Legend of Zelda Series
-Phoenix Wright Series

Games I once loved:
-Street Fighter 2
-Contra 3
-Pokemon Silver
-Kirby's Dream Land 1
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
-Call of Duty 4

Currently Playing:
-Heroes of Newerth
-Super Street Fighter 4 AE
-Persona 3
-The Binding of Isaac
-TF2

A game that no one has heard about that is secretly game of the year all years:
-The Incredible Machine

And that about sums up my gaming history. The first game I remember playing was Super Mario 64, and all I would do in that game is go to the ice level and throw the baby penguin off the cliff. Either that or watch Mario get his butt set on fire three times and die.

Finally got rid of that damned penguin. Oh shi-

An Epic Tale of Moderately Epic Proportions

When Super Smash Bros 64 rolled around, I really got into gaming. This was due to the fact that I played against my brother who is 10 years older than me. He would indubitably beat me every single time, probably due to the fact that he used Fox and I used Kirby. Most kids may have just gave up and cried, but my losses only strengthened my resolve. I'm not saying that I didn't give up and cry at some times, but I did become better than him. After we got Super Smash Bros Melee, I was able to defeat him with Roy. This was likely a turning point in my life, and for my brother as well. Believe it or not, my brother stopped playing video games after Melee. Of course, this was probably because he was getting too old for video games. (Haha yeah right)

Anyways, my rigorous training against my brother has shaped me into what I am today. I was able to win a Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament at my school, which is when I had a revelation.

Super Smash Bros is an incredibly casual game.

And that is how I became a PC gamer.

Okay, so maybe it wasn't exactly like that, but it happened in high school. I'm studying to be a Computer Science major now, and things have been alright. I played with my mortal enemy LawOfThermalDynamics today. The reason I say enemy is because we were playing one of the most frustrating games of all time: Kirby Air Ride.

The perfect game for ruining friendships, second to only one: Mario Party 64.

I won't go into detail about how it went, but let's just say that I beat him in a deathmatch while he had the Hydra. Hilarity most definitely ensued. But it's okay now, we are on good terms. And when I say good terms, I mean that he is on the other side of the room talking to Dtoid people and ignoring me.
Well that seems good enough for now. If I have anything else to add, it is that I am excited for Dota 2, and considering making some guides for it once it comes out. As I stated earlier, I play Heroes of Newerth, which is essentially Dota 1.5. More likely than not, my skills will carry over if I decide to play Dota 2. I've been told that there aren't many HoN players compared to LoL players (unsurprisingly) so hopefully I can find some people who want to play Dota 2.

TIME FOR A NEW SONG

Also, I have a steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/mamaluigiowns
I rarely play TF2 now though, and I usually just try to trade hats like a hat hoarder... such is life.

You're an Air Ride fanatic, too? :D :D :D

I think we'll get along just fine...
If LawOfThermalDynamics likes you, then you're okay with me!

I've had many heated Kirby's Air Ride matches, so I know exactly what you're talking about.

Also reminded me I still need to finish Persona 3. I was in the last game month, about 110 hours in, prior to moving, but I haven't unpacked my PS2 since -- out of sight, out of mind.

Welcome to this fabulous slice of the internet.
Now this is an intro blog. Welcome! Occams should have your decoder ring somewhere.
Sup. Welcome!
Welcome to Dtoid Shway. Law's a cool cool person.
I'm not bitter. You just cheated :p

Welcome to Dtoid! The place I always talk about!!!
Welcome to Destructoid, Shway! This was a great intro. Of course, name-dropping always helps I guess, haha. I can't wait to see what wonderful words you have for us!
Bastion listed as one of his all time faves.

Dude checks out. Welcome to Dtoid!
Welcome.

Also, Kirby Air Ride was fucking awesome, I don't care what anyone else says.
Welcome to dtoid!
Welcome to Dtoid! I assume Law showed you the secret handshake but just in case you better take off your pants and get it over with.
Welcome to Destructoid. Here is your decoder ring and the eternal onion ring. Enjoy your time here. Thrive with us. Give us your words and thoughts and ideas and we will love you for it. Amy friend of Law is a friend of mine. Happy to have you here buddy.
Law told me to check this blog out last night during Friday Night Fights. He claimed it was the best intro blog in recent memory and I told him he was being biased. I am now eating my words, this is a damn fine intro blog! Welcome to Destructoid! Keep up the great work!
Also, The Incredible Machine is well, INCREDIBLE. Anyone that hasn't should go download the mega pack from GOG.com. Literally hundreds if not thousands of hours of puzzle gaming goodness right there, all for just 10 bucks.
Hey it's a new member, who made an INTRODUCTION . . . unlike pretty much EVERY GODDAMN FACELESS INTERN I DON'T CARE ABOUT . . . duly appreciate . . . although you're associated with POOPMATICS . . . which means HE IS TOO SCARED OF FACING ME ONE-ON-ONE FOR ASIAN OFF 2012!!! I honestly don't know where I'm going with this, but welcome good sir! ^_^
Great intro, you sound really awesome, and I look forward to hearing more from you. We also share many favorite games I love Paper Mario 1&2, 999 is one my all-time favorites, and Phoenix Wright is so unbelievably good.

I started laughing when you mentioned throwing that penguin baby off the cliff, I did that too. Ah good times.
Dude, The Incredible Machine was the SHIT! I loved making complicated Rube Goldberg machines with cats and pulleys and see saws. Ahh, I haven't thought about that game in a long time. Thanks!

Also, welcome and all that.
Welcome to Dtoid... and awesome intro!!!
Thanks for the responses guys, I'm glad you liked the blog. ^_^

@DaedHead8
I just bought that pack last night, thanks to you. It's just like I remember it: incredible. I'm thinking of doing a review for it and making Law play it as well.
