Is old school, (I was playing an atari 2600 and an Odyssey 2 when I was in pre-school, Ring Quest and UFO were the fucking bomb), but enjoys a wide variety of games. Game tastes vary wildly from System Shock to Fatal Frame to Um Jammer Lammy to Disgaea to Okami to Virtua Fighter... etc etc... Shenmue.. etc. etc...
Not really too big of a fanboy, I'm an equal opportunity ripper. If a company does something that I think sucks, I'll let you know about it. Currently though, it's all about my 360. I'm not interested in the PS3, despite having and loving my PS2 for the past 5 years. I just like quality gaming experiences, any system that can deliver that to me multiple times is a good system in my opinion.
Favorite Games/Series: (not exhaustive by any means) Fatal Frame
Um Jammer Lammy/Parappa the Rapper
Waku Waku 7
Silent Hill (excluding SH4)
Devil May Cry
Secret of Mana
Breath of Fire
Legend of Zelda
Art of Fighting
Super Fantasm Soldier Valis
Wanderers from Ys
Space Defense Force
Sonic The Hedgehog
Ecco the Dolphin
From the Xboxic Forums: A few idiots got their hands on illegal copies of Halo 3. Played them while still CONNECTED to Xbox Live. Microsoft and Bungie weren't amused to say the least and they immediately banned the smacktards until 12/31/9999.
Hope your copies are worth never being able to play on Xbox Live again.
I don't get why people do this. I mean, it's certainly no skin off my neck that these dopes were ubar-banned. I just don't get the impulse to get an illegal copy of something and play it before hand on XBL. You're gonna get caught, and you're gonna get fucked.
Pretty good interview, both Igarashi-san and Yamane-san have done wonderful things for the Castlevania series, of which I am a huge fan. Igarashi cut his teeth on the resplendent Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the PS1 and Saturn, which set a new bar for platforming games and the Castlevania series. A bar that hasn't been surpassed yet in my opinion. It's great to know that us gamers here in the states will finally get a taste of Rondo of Blood... well those that haven't imported it. :) I believe Castlevania: Vampyre's Kiss was a muddled retelling of Rondo of Blood, but I could be mistaken.
It's a shame I don't own a PSP or DS. I hope they'll make a new Castlevania game for a next gen system. Playing Castlevania on my 360 would kick so much ass.. even if it was a platformer. :D
