Dude, that really fucking sucks balls. Sony told me that I would have to replace the bulb inside my LCD HDTV every few years, so I'm expecting a break in the next year. Hope it's later rather than sooner.
I use an LCD high def monitor for all of my gaming needs. It's been working beautifully for a few years now.
People are really strange about not switching to HD, they say they don't need it, but it's probably bad for your eyes to watch such blurry crap all the time. That said, I hope my hd tv doesn't break until I am sick of it and it's smallness.
That sucks.
