Mere minutes before the end of the campaign, the fans managed to fund the final stretch goal of $825,000, thus earning a second mystery DLC character, adding up to a total of five DLC characters!
It seemed that funding Big Band would be difficult, but completing all the stretch goals seemed near impossible, but I guess I underestimated the skullgirls community (plus a boost from the Bronies no less). Here are all the awesome stuff earned by the supporters and all people that own the game:
It's a beautifull thing that a game that is such a labor of love is rewarded with the love of a great community, so congratulations to Mike Z, Alex Ahad, and all the Skullgirls team and community.
Also: be sure to visit the indiegogo campaign page gallery to take a look at all the characters that will get voted by the supporters to occupy the two mystery character slots earned during the campaign.
We all know CAPCOM has been accused of neglecting Mega Man by cancelling two of his titles and keeping him out of the roster of Marvel vs CAPCOM 3 and they have trolled quite a bit in footage from UMVC3 (with some win quotes by Zero and the Days of Future Past poster).
But now with a recent leak of DLC costumes I can't quite decide if Zero's new Mega Man X outfit is the biggest troll ever or an act of fanservice. What do you think?
Head over to Shoryuken.com to catch some awesome DLC alternate costumes.
Or at least that's what I gather from today's post.
You see, since Spanish is my first language I'm just a bit confused with Sakurai's statement "There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar."
The meaning of that "up until now" leaves me just a little bit of doubt (or is it wishful thinking?) as if Ness really got his ass handed by Lucas. And since most of Lucas's moves are quite similar to the ones of Ness, his future is dire.
How do you, my fellow Destructoiders feel about this tragic turn of events? or is there someone ready to dance on Ness's grave?
