Options options and more options!

I really like options. I have already been talking a whole lot about the freedom in Ryzom. The game is a wonderland of self exploration and self motivation. You have to make the choice to level your characters; you choose what professions to learn and what missions to take. You do everything!
Of course this realm of freedom is part of a policy with Ryzom. The game developers offer flexible subscription fees and discounts for paying for multiple months in advance. The deal is less costly already by comparison to other high end MMORPG games. With these discounted options, which are permanent (not a holiday promotion), users can get more bang for less buck.
The Ryzom subscription for one month is ten dollars and ninety-five cents. Paying for three months up front costs only ten dollars and twenty-five cents per month. Paying for six months in advance costs nine dollars and forty-nine cents per each month. Paying for the entire year only costs eight dollars and eighty-three cents per month.
In case you haven't been crunching numbers on your calculator, paying for a whole year of gameplay on a month by month basis costs $131.40, paying for a year's worth of gaming in three-month segments costs $123, paying for a year's worth in six month installments costs a mere $113.88, and finally paying for the year up front will only cost $105.96. If you are looking for a game that gives you discounts for up front payments then look no further. Ryzom has all the options you need.

Been making a lot of progress...

I have been a busy bee. I have been having a lot of fun finishing sets of missions. I have just failed to complete two missions. When they are completed I will be able to take on the whole planet. Atys will soon be tamed by my avatar.

I currently have two or three missions left to go. I have completed all but one fighting mission, Arken, and I believe I have two harvesting missions left to go. I have been trying to find the Plain Dead Leaves, but it is very difficult.

During my time trying to solve my harvesting mystery I have actually managed to accomplish a great deal more. I have been casting a great deal to defeat different enemies like the Slaveni, these plants that seem docile until they are attacked, and the New-Born Javings, these predatory birds that have the capability to disarm weapons. Since my last update I have managed to complete all of the casting missions and earn some new magic amplifiers.

I have also been dabbling in crafting! I love how this game allows me to practice multiple skills at the same time. I took what I quartered and harvested and learned to craft some great items! I have been able to make tons of cash by producing and selling items to the merchants in the rangers camp.

Things are heating up. I have ten leaves to find and a bandit to slay before I can concentrate on truly saving the entirety of Planet Atys. I cannot wait to be Ryzom's savior. I will keep you all posted!

Ryzom and Christmas!
Shay Lessman | 3:05 PM on 12.05.2009 3 comments

Christmas has reached Planet Atys! Ryzom developers have incorporated a giant, sci-fi Atysmas tree into their display at Ranger's camps. The camp is now adorned with a brightly colored bit of holiday cheer. A present sits under the tree, the Ryzom advent Calendar, that contains funny messages for users- especially those who try to open the different boxes too early. Come out to Ranger's Camp to see the winter season on display there for the month of December. If you do not have a Ryzom account sign up for a free 21 day free trial so that you can see this breathtaking Christmas display for yourself.
