UK - Easily Annoyable?
Shah | 8:39 AM on 07.23.2007 4 comments

David Reeves, president of SCEE, practically said so. In an interview with Three Speech, he talked primarily about the PS3 "price cut". You know, the 600$-to-500$ drop of the 60GB edition (which will be replaced at 600$ with the 80GB model). Well. The UK is, as we all know, not getting mentioned price cut (even if some see it as a fake price cut anyways). If you asked yourself why, here is your answer - straight from the source:

"[...] if we reduced the price, we’d annoy a lot of people."

Think about it. Would you be annoyed if Sony dropped the price of their newest console adept by a hundred bucks? If you can answer that with "Yes", you must be living in the UK. Actually, I'm annoyed because they didn't decide to drop the price.

Why make this stuff country-wise anyway? It's bullshit. If you drop the price in the US, then drop the price in Europe, too. Bad move Sony, bad move.

The PS3 is doing OK in Europe, whereas I think they need the price-cut more in America. But saying it would annoy a lot of people is just retarded. Maybe the people who already own a PS3, but they won't care since they already own one.

Its just an excuse as far as I can see, sure they might get a few complains like "I got my ps3 last week and now there has ben a price drop, im pissed off!" but why would Sony care about those people anyway?

Of course we're easily annoyed. We've been getting screwed by the gaming industries for years. Anything done to Europe is potentially the straw to break the camel's back.

 about me

Let's try defining hardcore before we try and define ourselves with mentioned attribute first.

To me, a hardcore gamer is a person who always wants the best out of his system, setup and environment. He will not stop paying for equipment, games, platforms, bonus content (sigh), or Limited Editions.

Now, I apply to some of the above, but certainly not all of them.

On a final call, let's say I'm 50% hardcore, and 50% casual.
