Ok let me take you back in an era where portable gaming was taking it's first steps In my eyes atleast, that would be the original Gameboy. When I received my own rectangular brick of a gaming system from that day on I was infected with the portable lifestyle. I spent many of my early days playing Tetris, Super Mario World, and a certain game I can't recall at the moment it involved throwing boomerangs and saving a princess. As I grew from my childhood into adulthood the portable world has also evolved quite drastically in the past 20 years. From a Green and Black screen with only a handful of buttons to the wonderful future or should I say present where now our portables are beautifully displayed in rich 3 Dimensional Graphics from a range of super bright lcd screens and 3D that requires nothing but your eyes to be displayed. Kids growing up today seem to take these wonderful machines with a grain of salt not realizing the advancement and the technology it had to take to get this far. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to show my past self a PSP or a 3DS to truly see the amazement I get when I see these systems Now. I remember when I used to play pokemon on the bus I used to always tell kids you know someday they will have portable N64 and no one believed me. Now that I didn't completely hit my mark on my prediction I wasn't so far off the mark. One example would be the newly re-released game Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D. Just the thought of that particular game being on a handheld half the size of my original Gameboy is truly remarkable not to mention the graphical updates and whatnot. I guess the point I'm trying to get across here is that videogames I used to only imagine in my mind as a young gamer are now today my dreams coming true and it is a truly wonderful time indeed.
