Over the course of the weekend I found this MMORPG and thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. Mabinogi is the name of the game. Its is made by the same ppl who made Maplestory (Nexon). I have been playing this game like a crack whore workin the streets for crack. I mean I love anime and I love MMORPGs. This MMORPG is the mix of World of Warcraft and Anime. I just love the game. [br]

[/br]It is just amazing what you can do one this game. You can go get a part time job from a shop clerk, or go and just kill things. You can open your own store if you wanted to. Now the good news it is FREE!!! Bad news, to open a store, get extra space for items, and get alittle extra game play you have to pay, but its not that much. Right now I am playing a free acount. http://mabinogi.nexon.net/ that is the web site to download and play this game. WARNING! If you don't like MMORPG or Anime don't play this game. You will most likely hate this one too. and don't leave me any comments about how MMORPGs suck or how Anime sucks because this post is not for you. This post is just to inform other out there who let MMORPGs and Anime.

So I get to 94% through the setup and my computer locked up. Twice in a row. On the first restart it had to recover an old registry from a log...

Yeah. Not sure what to make of that, but sounds like no Mabinogi for me.

Wow... I'm not usually one to comment on graphics for anything, but those character models look REALLY bad. Like, PS1 bad. I was actually considering giving it a shot since I've seen the ads everywhere, but I dunno, nice looking MMOs like Sword of the New World, Guild Wars, and so many others have spoiled me I guess.

I tried it but for some reason, I stopped once all the patching and junk was set up on my computer. Maplestory has gone bad enough, I hope this does well.

and hopefully it isn't endless grinding like Maplestory...taking almost a day to level in some cases.

I've been eyeing up the ads for this for a while now so to hear from someone who's actually playing is quite nice. I'll think about it for a while as while I can and have played MMORPGs they rarely hold my attention for more than 2 weeks.

I played Mabinogi for about a week about a month ago. The variety of things to do is most welcome and quite addicting as I travelled the path of being a tailor/archer. It's nice that it's free so you can decide on your own if it's worth opting in for the premium stuff. I didn't find the player base too annoying and questing is plentiful. After a while (3 weeks perhaps?), your character has the option of rebirth which keeps your stats and items but resets you to age 10 and level 1. I haven't had a huge amount of time to play it recently, so my experience is pretty limited.
