Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
The difference between us and CNET/Gamespot is that Federated Media handles our ads -- they are a totally different company that has nothing to do with Destructoid staff. Unless I become a total cunt there's no funny business otherwise :)
Also, Turning Point gets an 11/10! Also, never heard of it :)
"Sound... It has it."
11/10
I'm not too concerned. This was just the first image that popped into my head and I thought it was funny enough to execute through a quick photoshop.
@ Niero
Thanks for the clarification on how the ads are handled. And thank you for stopping by my lil' old cblog.
I'd rather see it die young at it's prime than to end up like Elvis: Bloated, washed up, and sitting on the crapper when its time comes. :)
Right? You'd better agree with me, Cheesecake. Or else will have a LOLCAT-off. You don't wanna' fuck with my google skills.
I can't win in a LOLCAT-off, so you win by default.
But I do agree with you anyways, disgustingly cute furballs or not.
Also, whelps, left side.
I love Dtoid with all of my heart and thought that this would get more of a laugh from the readers here than what I've got so far. I can't believe so many people believe I'm being serious.
I know websites aren't free so on and so forth. I thought this was funny, so I made it. Are you butthurt?
Good, enjoy it.
Also I don't see how saying "the ads have nothing to do with us" is considered a good thing. Why shouldn't you be looking at the ads you bring in? Why shouldn't you be trying to advertise games that you actually think are great and should be looked at by your fellow gamers? It would seem like that should be the standard to strive for.
This coming from someone who has no clue about advertising or business or blogging or anything, so probably what I've written is totally unfeasible, but that doesn't mean we can't bitch about it anyway.
