It was kind of like this only the people were better looking.
A beautiful thing happened at PAX Prime this year. Late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning, depending on how you look at it), after a long day of video games and alcohol, Corduroy Turtle (me) convinced nearly everyone in hanging out at [redacted]'s house to cram into a room in the back room and record a quick podcast..... on a single Rock Band microphone.
Was this the best idea? Yes. Was it executed flawlessly? Not necessarily. Still, it turned out better than I expected and it was exciting being surrounded by a bunch of my friends. Who would that be? Well let's see - myself, knutaf, Occam's electric toothbrush, Qalamari, Magpie, mrandydixon, bbain, Law of Thermal Dynamics, Beyamor, SuperMonk4Ever, SteezyXL, Fame Designer, Wolf Girl and Colton Phillips! That's a buttload of people!
Come and listen to our impressions of PAX! Thanks again to everyone for entertaining this silly idea such a ridiculous hour.
We're back! After what seems like forever, we have returned with a very special surprise for our 20th episode. Not only did bbain make his second appearance but the creator of Escape Goat and the Soulcaster series, Ian Stocker joined us as well! Very exciting!
In this episode, much like "Dry Rub Contest", we had fun pitching game ideas to each other. Since we had a professional around this time, we got some honest feedback and insight on what it takes to actually put a game together. For instance, motion capturing live birds may be expensive and time consuming but, in the end, totally worth it. Good to know.
The intro music this time around is from the absolutely stellar Escape Goat OST. If you'd like to check out some of Mr. Stocker's wonderful games, head over to MagicalTimeBean.com or search for them on the XBLIG marketplace. They're definitely worth your time. Thanks again to Ian and bbain for joining us in the Base, especially on such short notice. We had a blast! See you all next episode!

Hey there, Cblog readers! I hope you don't have any plans for the next 3 hours because we have an absolutely GIANT episode of the Secret Moon Base podcast for you this week! In the spirit of keeping our guest-streak going we invited the lovable bbain to come and chat with us about a really fun topic - BOSSES!
I should note that, because of the subject material, there are some spoilers here and there. Nothing too serious but we discuss the final bosses of Mass Effect 2, Bioshock, Tomb Raider, Super Metroid, Half-Life, Dead Space 2, Cave Story, Resident Evil 4, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Silent Hill 2 a couple Final Fantasy games and probably a few others that are slipping my mind. Nothing terribly current but let it be known that a light spoiler blanket is draped over this whole episode. Beware!
By the way, you guys really pulled through in the question department! Seriously...so many! It took us there better part of 2 freaking hours to tackle them all. WE LOVE THAT! Huge thanks to bbain for being an awesome guest and for suggesting this weeks wonderful topic!
Whoa, an actual video game related picture? What is this...
Hey guys! The gentlemen at Secret Moon Base Headquarters have a brand new episode for you to listen to! Although Occam was unable to join us this week, we did manage to charm Sean Daisy (aka Captain Bus) into making a special guest appearance and he was simply a delight. There's really nothing quite like a well-spoken British man with a quick wit. I hope you got to work okay, Sean!
This week we went in blind, but ended up with somewhat of a topic: Mario! It turns out our guest is quite a fan of the Bros so we talked about our favorites of the series, the ingredients of a great Mario game and why it's infinitely better than LittleBig Planet. We also delve into why Wii Fit is kind of a dick and which military first-person-shooters are best for your two-year-old.
Listener questions filled up the back half and, as usual, did not disappoint. Seriously, some of these questions are so good they could probably fuel an entire episode! Thanks again, everyone!
