The Last Of Us heading to the big screen

Naughty Dog's smash hit "The Last Of Us" is set for a big screen adaptation
recently announced by Sony's Screen Gems, and before you roll you eyes at least consider some of the talent that is on board for this project.

Naughty Dog's creative directer Neil Druckmann will gain the job of producing the script for the film, as well as game director Bruce Straley, and co-presidents Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra set to being involved. Sony's Screen Gems will publish the project as well as Spider-Man's directer Sam Raimi somehow being attached to the film, but it's currently unknown in which aspect he is attached.

It seems that many of the original talent is attached to the film even going as far as being involved in talks for the project trying to get it off the ground "Since our game released last June, we've talked with many companies about making a film, but we couldn't have found better partners who share our creative vision and high standards."

Despite many video game adaptions resulting in horrible train wrecks this seems to be set on course into the correct direction, so how do you feel about this, and who do you desire to be in the shoes of Joel and Ellie? I personally feel Josh Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld would fit nicely.
