Through the Fire and Flames FC'd. God's head explodes from awesomeness
Seanus | 1:18 AM on 06.04.2008 22 comments

Quite possibly the hardest Guitar Hero song has officially being "FCd."

The special honors go to Iamchris4life, for reaching this milestone.
Official thread at Score Hero

Crazy!

Interesting things to note: "One" is the only song on Guitar Hero 3 yet to be FC'd on Expert.
Through the Fire and Flames is also yet to be FC'd on Hard. :\

Edit: The video is now available for you to see here

I have no idea what FC'd means.
Seanus's Destructoid Blog
FC'd means Full Combo. The song was completed 100%, and considering the song, it's a crazy achievement.
mattmang's Destructoid Blog
People haven't achieved an FC on One yet, because everybody is focused on TTFAF.

Now that that's out of the way, Devil went Down to Georgia is next, i hope.

Very Impressive!

I gave up on GH3 after I failed miserably at the expert career. That said, it was my first Guitar Hero game...

Holy shit indeed.

GH3 is my first GH game as well. Currently hit a brick wall on Tier 7 on hard. Need to practice more. >.>

Wait, why did it take this long to happen?
ParaParaKing's Destructoid Blog
@Reaprar: Yeah, I watched the video and am familiar with that song. Still I find it odd, that it took people so long. Since there are crazy people out there.

Buh? I didn't even think it was possible! Normally, I'd be more skeptical of this, but ScoreHero is a pretty reliable site. So, congrats to the dude, he definitely deserves it.

I can see someone FC'ing DWDTG now, but One is still going to be awhile off because of that blasted Fast Solo A. Stupid Activision notated the whole thing out of the wazoo, so now it's practically impossible to even tap it effectively.

Heh, I traded GH3 in on Sunday for $20, and see that EB is now selling it new for $10. Guess there is an upside to Activision whoring out the franchise. ^_^

Amazing :O For Fire and Flames, I swear GH3 throws in notes that don't exist in the original song! My room-mate spent months struggling just to *complete* the thing (I will make him cry with this video, haha)
mattmagoo's Destructoid Blog
how come he wasnt actually struming at the beginnign he had two hands on the neck of the guitar
Eschatos's Destructoid Blog
Pfffffffft. I'll be impressed when someone gets a million points.

@mattmagoo -- I was wondering about that too. It looks like he does it so he can cover the last note fairly easily while his other fingers take care of the other sets of notes (he does this a couple times during the song). I just don't get how he strums then.

You can't deny he's hitting the notes though, as the taps match (it's especially notable at the end when you can hear the light note taps over the strums when he's hitting some of those machinegun sets), and I think that someone who is using a programmed controller wouldn't be so inclined to stop and wipe his note-tapping hand during the two seconds or so in the middle of the song when he has the time to do it. If it's a fake, it's a good one. Judging by comments though, this guy seems to have legitimate credibility, so I'm willing to buy it.

@matmagoo and negfactor

They're hammer-ons and pulloffs. The notes that are lit up don't have to be strummed
NegFactor's Destructoid Blog
Thanks for the heads-up. I feel more enlightened. :P
SWE3tMadness's Destructoid Blog
ninjamogzero, yeah, the part at the beginning and the bridge before the insane solos are done by a synthesizer, not the guitars. Apparently they didn't think the song was hard enough already, so Activision notated it and made you play them anyways. >.<

Damn you Seanus!
& It seems we share the same name also!

Same name? NO WAI!
We must be twins. :P
