Seanus is a sad gamer. :(

Okay, I'll set the scene...
Finished my last uni exam on Tuesday, and had the rest of this week, and next week of holidays, before I have to go back to uni for a two week 'holiday' unit. And due to losing my job earlier in the month, I don't have to worry about working either.
Finally got to level 65 in Call of Duty: World at War, and just got the new map pack priming myself for some nazi zombie killing.
New Fallout 3 DLC is ready to be downloaded after thoroughly enjoying the first three.
Belatedly getting into Oblivion, and about halfway through the last Thieves Guild mission.

Cue...

Yep, got the beloved ring of fire synonymous with our favourite Microsoft console. This, in fact, is my second red ring of death for my 360 in the two years I've had it. I really should have known this was going to happen considering the circumstances. It started freezing during Oblivion, then it would freeze during the boot-up sequence, then it just laid down and gave me the red lights.

Today I've being pretty lost. Despite owning all consoles and handhelds I've generally only played the 360. The others have become neglected. Anyway, since I can't play the 360 looks like the PS3 and Wii will be getting some playtime. Might finish Uncharted and Resistance, as well as Prime 3 and Galaxy.

So Destructoid, what are some older, and therefore cheaper games that I've probably missed on the other two consoles that've being released over the last year? I need my fix. :P

Star Ocean IV. ,oh wait.....

Try, Final Fantasy Tactics A2. That's what I'm playing right now. Well on the DS anyway. & since I don't have a PS3, I guess try De Blob, Madworld or No More Heroes on Wii. Some of those good Wii games that need some more lovin'.

It really depends what kind of games you like... Heavenly Sword is an older game (likely can be found on sale) if you like jaw dropping graphics, a decent (though short) story and offline play - for more recent games, Killzone was pretty good offline and online as well.

The original Resistance game was awesome... both offline and online and the newer Resistance 2 game is also very solid. For online play they have a really fun co-op mode that is an absolute blast and very addicting!

Eh... so many good games to play...

Actually, if you were playing COD, you probably like shooter games... have you tried Warhawk? It's a greatest hit, so it's cheap (and you can also download it from the PSN store). It's online only play with no offline component, but it's an insane amount of fun.

It's very much a team based game and the people that play are pretty laid back. It has weapons pick ups, so rank really means nothing and there are "junior" servers for those that are just starting with the game so that they can learn the maps, etc. It has planes and air battle(which are incredibly easy to fly, but hard to get really good at), but it also has ground battle with guns, jeeps, tanks and stationary turrets.

The online community for this game is still VERY active and you will always be able to find a game... it might be worth considering if you're looking for an older, cheaper game that has tons of gaming time.

Dude... I lost my 360 about a year ago... Braid came out and a bunch of shit and I couldn't play any of it! It was sad... also, Castle Crashers. I spent my days playing Wii RE4 and House of the Dead 2&3 Return. Definitely give SMG some time!!
