Thank me later :3
@ghoff
Added a special thank you at the end ;3
Uh, is there a way we can get in touch so you can set me down the path of righteousness to pick up this amazing console, and so that we can fap in unison to the Mother series?
@Krow
Heh, of course! scarywomanizingpigmask@gmail.com You can get it from Playasia or Think Geek. As for the not emulators and not guides, I will most certainly not email you links if you drop me a line ;3
Is it cheaper to get it from Think Geek or Playasia ?
@Falcon
Same price, not sure about shipping though.
Sweet, Does it do Ps1 emulators too?
If so, im gettin' one.
@Cartman
Actually there working on one now! Not sure if it's out yet, but that is a future possibility :D
Great, i'll hold off on buying one till' then.
I was jus gonna buy a psp and hack it, but this seems much easier and sexier.
Interesting. I should check this out.
I fap not only at the console support, but CPSII? Fucking CPSII???? You know what this means? X-Men Vs. Street Fighter on the go! A whole library of Shmups for the taking!
@Maganalon
I KNOW! :D That was the big sell for me :)
How does this compare to the other emulation fantasy suite thing, the Pandora whatever? I haven't heard of this (but I know jack about the Pandora), but people say that the $300 price tag is worth it to emulate damn near everything under the sun. So they say.
@Forte
Pandora out classes EVERYTHING (it can run Quake 3 iirc :O) but it's a little out of my price point, and it's not even out yet I think, and likely not be so for a while.
Fuck man, I'm jealous!
Also, what's my avatar doing in your header ?!?!
Yays for Earthbound! I just wish that one day I can buy the damn thing legally and me and the other bazillion people who bought it can unitedly flip off, hug, scowl at and pay Nintendo at the same time. BOING!
I would buy this fo MOther 3 alone.
I'm surprised that DS has a legit cart in it... For someone who buys a handheld linux not emulator.
@SWPM: Ah, so it's that good? I see. And I hear it's out, just that they're really hard-pressed to keep it in stock, so it's a lucky day to get one yourself. So I've heard. Just...$300 is pretty pricey even if you're not buying any games. But I hear it can do even N64 games, which the PSP is yet to excel at, and that would be a pretty big sale for a lot of people.
I don't get how they're allowed to sell that thing at all, though. It has no native games, and I don't think they're marketing it as a computer. It's not like the PSP where you mod it to emulate everything, but it's pretty much implied right out of the box that you're gonna do some emulating with it.
*strokes chin* Well, there's always the PC for that I suppose. =P
@Forte
Not sure about Pandora, but I know that the Wiz has some built in games and multimedia functions to shield it's true intentions. Also there's the homebrew gameplayer angle as well. Also probably helps that it's based in Korea XP
Hmmm...$170 is running into PSP money. And the PSP practically runs most emulators.
@Vexed Alex
This is true, though modding a PSP is a hassle, and the PSP itself is a brick.
How easy is it to run games on this? I want one! :D
Neo Geo games on the go! I need one asap! Also, I already okay Mother 3...in my PSP :P
Does Mother 3 ever desync? I ask this because I noticed a few hours in that, no matter what I played it on (PSP, PC, Wii), the beats of the music and the button presses I made didn't match up.
@Krow: If you can find a 2000 model, those are pretty easy to hack. 3000s and above are naturally gonna be difficult. PSP has an N64 emulator, which isn't really good, but it's there. In its defense, the Wii has one too that's even worse. I dunno if this Wiz does (if so, holy crap!). And I hear the Pandora is supposed to have a really good one, but I haven't heard anything on that front and $300 is a bit much to satisfy my curiosity.
@SWPM: Hehe. I'm not sure what the Pandora even offers for legality. I'm sure it's powerful, but some idiot on this other forum I went to claimed it could run PSP and DS games at full speed (ignoring the fact that the Pandora lacks a touchscreen (er, right?) and has only one screen at that...). I highly doubt that. =P
Having read about it in Wiki, it seems that it's still not out yet and it's been pushed back quite a bit. Not a good sign.
I use my PSP for most of my emulation on the go. But have you tried playing a N64 game on the Wiz? If so, how does it play?
@Diverse
Sadly, no N64 emu yet :(
looks tasty but I don't think I could justify the price tag personally.
I'd watch you play it and think it was awesome though. :D
So, in short, sex. :D
