Mother 3 Handbook Get!

Today is a good day indeed. My long awaited copy of the Mother 3 handbook as finally arrived, and to cut right to the chase, it's probably the best piece of gaming merchandise ever created. Let's see why. (apologies in advance for shitty pictures that do not do this masterpiece justice)

Not only is the handbook gorgeously illustrated with it's fantastic drawings and clay models, it's also a surprisingly thorough guidebook, and in keeping with the game it's dedicated too, quite witty as well (there coverage of "The Tower of Peace and Love" in particular made me chuckle to myself). While a free online version will be up on there website soon, I can't recommend enough that you buy yourself a copy if you haven't already. It's as packed with personality as Mother 3 itself, and having the beautifully glossy pages (complete with the oh-so-perfect fresh ink smell) right there in front of you just makes it even better.

Heya, I shoulda dropped by to tell you this sooner, but when I was working on the M3 translation and got to the FPT's name, I was like, "Man, that guy is going to be so bummed out." The thing is, the Scary Womanizing Pig Mask name seems to have come from a FAQ writer who had a penchant for adding and changing things for no real reason. The "womanizing" thing was never in the guy's original name. Also, that name would've been too many letters to fit into memory, and wouldn't have fit in the text box anyway.

Hope that helps clear that up.
