That's a lot of Earthbound music. There goes Nintendo... screwing over the EB fans once again.
Stunt Race FX and Mario Rpg? with those two games included then Brawl could have achieved Godhood and cast judgement down upon all other lesser games.....

Im curious as to which characters were cut.
let me guess, mewtwo and roy.
Some of these songs weren't really cut from the game. I know you can listen to "How to Play" when you wait at the title screen and it shows you how to play...
They may have been cut from My Music though...for what reason I don't know.
Also, the supposed cut characters:

Also, the music is pretty shweet.
2 of the 7 should have been Geno and megaman. Stupid Nintendo. I still love this game, I just beat SSE and unlocked Toon Link. Next we will find out, Earthbound had the demo in the US version but was taken out cause they didnt think people would want it.

It's good music, but I'm afraid it isn't from SSBB. The second one (Beware the Forest's Mushrooms) and the fifteenth (Stunt Race FX) are the giveaway- those are both from one of the Orchestral game concerts. The specific songs that were the tipoff are found here and here. If you like what you hear, I highly recommend the rest of the OGC music... I have all 5 on my MP3 player at the moment, it's all good stuff.

Well, the stuff from Melee isn't that hard to figure out. The rest are mostly original music from other games. It looks to me like someone just collected a bunch of stuff together and hoped no one would notice. Sorry. =/
Menu 2 (Melee) is definitely in the game. It's my favorite menu theme.

Another version is, although they're both really similar, the are subtle differences between the two.
Is it possible that these are additionally "downloadable" content songs like the extra puzzle in Dr. Layton that are "downloadable" but it really is only an unlock key, they are already present on the cartridge?
