IGN just gave Bioshcok a 9.7 rating, the highest given to an Xbox 360 title. It easy to see that this game is going to be one for the ages, and the reviews coming in prove this.

That was a surprisingly well-written IGN review, above their usual rambling. 1UP also did a pretty good (and shorter) review, and there seems to be a general feeling of overwhelming joy, though I'm sure 9.5 will become the new 8.8 for some crazy people out there.
i thought bioshock's sense of style is amazing, but i can never super get into first-person shooters much anymore. i think i'm the only one who loves 3rd person shooters.
@guy e- dude, you totally are the only person who loves 3rd person shooters! That's why Gears of War only sold about 30 copies.
Well I just hope these great numbers translate into sales. Everyone's got Halo fever now and I have a hard time convincing people Bioshock is great.
gears of war is big exception. most 3rd person shooters get left unnoticed, we'll see how stranglehold does in comparison to bioshock this week.
