With the recent announcment of Final Fantasy 13 going multi-platform, an already stirred sea of fanboyism has increased in aggression. These console wars haven been going on ever since there were two consoles out with about the same quality of software and hardware. It seems that in many a mind, going into the store and purchasing your box of choice is like signing a contract in your unborn child's blood. People feel the need to fight for and defend their console of choice, and sneer and laugh at the people who bought the other box of wires, plastic, and chips.
This simply isn't so, we don't need to fight everyone. Playstation 3 has to deal with the often loud and ignorant crowd of Halo 3 players, and 360 has the task of enduring the onslaught of J-RPG fans and Snake lovers. The Wii fanbase is the calmest of the bunch, so they are not a part of this rant. Anyways, out of all the stupid things to bicker and bitch about, video games is by far the most incriminating. What is next? Glowing hot debates over dildo brands? Liking a certain game or console does not mean that the other brands are bad. When it all comes down to it, every company ever made only wants your money, they have no love for you and only apply the facade of sincerity and compassion to further invade your wallet.
I enjoy all 3 current-gen consoles.-
oh really? i'd beg to differ sir.
Agreed. I can't see how the Wii fanbase is the "calmest of the bunch". Maybe it's just me.
Have you seen the big freakout here at Dtiod, it is good news. But people tend to take things way,way too far. I've seen lots of, ms wins E3 and oh sony is gone from the battle type comments, wtf is wrong with people, why all the hate towards sony and Ninty? Don't they realise they sound like twats?
No, they don't
