About Me
About Me

Hey all, real name's Tom, but I usually travel under the handle Sarin (as in the chemical). I'm a 19 yo Uni student studying science at Sydney Uni. As some of you may have figured out I live in Australia but I still try to get on the destructoid TF2 sever despite my 200+ pings.

Trivia Time
Some of my favourite games are:
Grim Fandango
Secret of Monkey Island I&II
Psychonauts
Day of the Tentacle
(Add any Tim Schaefer Game Here)
Fallout 1&2
Max Payne 1&2
TF2
Vampire: Bloodlines
Arcanum
Planescape: Torment
Hitman: Blood Money
This is already too long so I'll stop

Currently playing:
TF2
BrB;u Mod Nights
Hitman: Blood Money
Persona 3

Random:
-I get irrationally distressed when game characters have names like Sarin. Saren(Mass Effect), Sareth(Dark Messiah), Saris(Horizons), Sarun(Viralhunter's story), there are others
-GTA was damn good but has little replay value after the second play through :(
-If you play PC games come to BrB;u. It rocks!
-Having no friends is laym

Tim Schafer, Genius

Joystiq has a few interviews up where they challenge some adventure game heavyweights to put their own unique spin on solving an adventure puzzle.

Ron Gilbert, Steve Purcell, Mike Stemmel, Erik Wolpaw, and Ragnar Tørnquist, are all merely the set-up for the puchline of Tim Schafer's brilliance.

While I'm no big fan of heavy metal, I must say I am very much looking forward to Brutal Legend. Tim Schafer is a golden god.

I hope the gameplay stacks up in Brutal Legend, Schafer's stories are AMAZING, gameplay, not so much.

Schafer's games are ALWAYS awesome. Its a shame that most have not been major commercial successes that they deserve to be. Hopefully now he will get major mainstream recognition.
