1) You didn't keep your receipt...? Always keep them for major purchases.
2) You should've saw this coming, and you're lucky it didn't happen sooner.
3) I'm not sure why ONE console has to be better than the other. Both have plenty of good games, and if you really like gaming I would think you'd be able to appreciate both.
I've had my 360 since year one and it's never RROD'd (although the belt that pops the disc out is just about shot) but I'm getting a PS3 here soon and I've been playin' around with my friends and it's a sexy machine. I'm never gonna leave my 360 (specifically my Live) but damn if the PS3 doesn't impress.

I wouldn't drop any more money into that fiery money pit called xbox. Just buy something that does it all and actually works with free online.
@Xzyliac: I have a PS3, just tend to play my xbox more due to have a wider range of friends and games on that console. The only problem I have with the PS3 is the controller, it just doesn't seem to be very comfortable any more.
