About Me
Gaming have always been a part of my life in some facit or another. I started with the Atari and moved on to the Nintendo and eventually Gameboy. The NES was a prize and I remember the hours I spent playing Super Mario Bros. 3 trying to find that whistle. Now of course the game can be completed in like 30 minutes, but I digress. Today, I am a proude Xbox 360 owner. However, I do try and branch out to the other systems when I am able. Currently, I am switching between Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, and the occassional Rock Band 2 jam sessions with friends.

Aside from games I also heavily enjoy movies and writing. I am working on my English Masters in the non-digital world in hopes of becoming a better and hopefully someday more highly published writer. I'll probably post some of my stuff up on here occassionally to get the opinions of the crowds. Until then, I have provided a few lists of my favorites, enjoy!

Your Favorite Videogame Moments

This post is inspired by a post from the G4 newsite.

There are several videogame moments that reside in my memory banks as times when I truely enjoyed the match and its end results. Here are two:

The first took place while playing the original Halo in the level that I believe is now called Chill Out. Being the rocket-whore that I am. I climped or rather jumped to the top of the pillar and grabbed the rocket launcher and then just waited. The game was a 2-on-1 match where I was the one. When the time came I jumped up in the air and fired directly downward at my intended target. What happened next was unexpected. Being that the game was being played on two different televisions via system link I was not able to witness the true results of my actions. The rocket I fired had gone straight downward and hit my opponent at that angle, what my opponents teammate witnessed was this person being completely flatened by the rocket. And I am not refering to a kill that resulted in ragdoll. I mean that the rocket smushed my friend flat causing his body to explode and effectively glitched the game and also horrified my opponents into stark astonishment.

The second incident happened more frequently. I ended up playing an oldschool game of Goldeneye with someone I worked with. This person had been getting on my nerves quite frequently as the day and weeks went on up until this point. So when he asked if I wanted to play a game of Goldeneye. I said why not. I did not boust my skills at this favorite game and before the match started I requested the complex level and for the weapons to be proximity minds. What happened next was hilarious on my part, but not so much on the other persons. Once attaining the proximity mines I went around the level placing the mines at strategic locations and emplimenting all the tricks I knew. I created hovering mines and invisible mines. I even put some under walk ways and on ceilings. And the most outrageous thing I did was to place the mines on all the spawn locations in the level that I could remember. When the time came I killed my opponent using a machine gun and then just waited. Hilarity soon followed as every respawn was met with an explosion. When my opponent managed to survive this respawn he would soon open a door with a well placed mine and once again explode. Or he would go to get bodyarmor and of course explode. I will admite that my actions where dishonorable to say the least, especially since I replaced many of the mines after they exploded, but I just couldn't resist. Could you?

I like #2 as well. I didn't play proxy mines as much as most people back in the day though -- how do you get them to hover or be invisible?

You make them invisible or float by throwing them on either body armor or an ammo crate and then quickly collecting that bodyarmor or ammo. The mine will usually hover for awhile with the ammo but for the body armor its possible to have the body armor respawn on the mine. Also you can use remote mines as throwable explosives in the sense that if you throw it and then quickly activate it it will explode in mid air. I think another trick I used was walking through fire unharmed but I'll tell that one later.

So you played Goldeneye with someone from work that "had been getting on my nerves quite frequently as the day and weeks went on"?
