About Me
I got into gaming with my big brothers NES when I was a little kid. So I guess I have him to thank for getting me interested in it. Growing up we shared a love for gaming and bought consoles together. Getting older my brother stopped playing games but now I'm 20 years old and still going strong. I play almost all kinds of games (no sports!) but mostly action and RPGs.

Also, "Stuvning" translates to stew in English. Like the above beef stew.

New Deus Ex 3 artwork
STUVNING | 5:45 AM on 08.07.2008 13 comments

Brand new artwork from Deus Ex 3. It's not much but it's something. I really loved the first Deus Ex. Probably the best PC game ever in my opinion. Can't help but look forward to this even though Invisible War wasn't that great. It was still a good game but nowhere near as good as the first one. I believe it would have done better on it's own without the name of Deus Ex holding it down

Not much to say about it. But still nice to see something apart from that cryptic teaser a few months ago.

More original, less sequel "mass appeal".

Honestly, dumbing down a deep system so that the idiots that didn't enjoy the first game can ignore the sequel while shafting the audience who liked the original...just...why?

They have their Halo. Give us our Deus Ex.

I think this was first discovered in April, but all the same... gives you hope.

On a side-note, I personally loved both Deus Ex titles.

So they want to make it more mainstream then Deus Ex 2?

Deus Ex Invisible Wars was a load of steaming piles of poop just because it failed to grasp what Deus Ex was about at every level. Take away the name Deus Ex from Invisible Wars and its just a crappy and claustrophobic FPS.
Deus Ex without Warren Spector (System Shock, Ultima Underworld, Thief) is like Metal Gear Solid without Hideo Kojima.

They could name it Bio Ex.

Worked for System Shock 3.

Can't a game be deep and accessible. They need not be mutually exclusive methinks.

I'm all for a streamlined experience but they really need to keep at least the fundamental game play elements like nanotech augmentations, skills and weapons upgrade intact, allowing you to build your characters abilities as you choose fit and approach the game how you choose.

The world needs to be a lot more open than IW. You should have a bunch of different paths to approach you goals. 2 or 3 paths with obvious breadcrumbs on them just won't do,

With Deus EX you have an already great framework - They can really do something special with the new console hardware. Bioshock proved that tis kind of game can be successful. They just need to make it less dumbed down than Bioshock. Dont get me wrong, I loved Bioshock, but it was the Deus Ex/System Shock inspired gameplay gimped to make it more accessible. I think a game can be deep and accessible but it seems most publishers disagree.

IF its Deus EX in just name they shouldn't bother

I loved the 1st one (PS2...) and have yet to beat the 2nd one (Xbox)

Hopefully they keep this closer to the 1st one than the 2nd one.
