About Me
I got into gaming with my big brothers NES when I was a little kid. So I guess I have him to thank for getting me interested in it. Growing up we shared a love for gaming and bought consoles together. Getting older my brother stopped playing games but now I'm 20 years old and still going strong. I play almost all kinds of games (no sports!) but mostly action and RPGs.

Also, "Stuvning" translates to stew in English. Like the above beef stew.

Check out The Depreciation Guild! (VGR Music)

I found these guys while scouring 8bitpeoples for good chiptunes.

The Depreciation Guild are a Brooklyn based band made up of Kurt & Christoph. I guess you could call them shoegaze if you want to but here's what makes this VGR. They use the sound chip from the NES in their music and this makes for a really interesting mix of guitar-heavy shoegaze and crisp 8-bit melodies. Managing to do it without going totally overboard thus making it sound forced. To me the two styles blend together perfectly The result is amazing! I found their sound really unique and refreshing.

They've even put up their debut album for free on their website.
I read some reviews and people seem to think the 8-bit sound is frustrating or stressful but I don't agree. I'm guessing they're just not used to distinct character of chip-music

What a clever website!

Not overly fond of chiptunes but these sound pretty neat.
