About Me
Jordan here. I'm a gamer from Vancouver, BC. Been at it for 20+ years, though it's certainly slowed down in the past few.
I mainly stick to single-player fare, but every once in awhile I really get into a good multiplayer game (Rock Band, CoD, etc).
If you're looking for a badass expert drummer, hit me up on XBL (SLiFE)

Viva Pinata Is Crack
SLiFE | 10:19 PM on 06.12.2007 10 comments

So I picked up Viva Pinata yesterday (after playing the demo for several hours. If only it had been released earlier!).
Jesus Christ, this game is addictive. 2 days in, and I've already invested 8 hours.
Anyways, just thought I'd share the love/warn the masses about this game.

I still have an aversion to eating chocolate bars because of this game.

I'd never BUY VP but I am going to rent it. Purely for the achievement points and for a lol. I dont think I will ever be a long time player for that game. It's not my thing at all.

You might be able to squeeze a hundred or two points out of a rental, but anything more will require quite an investment of time.

I bought it on impulse once because it was half the price of other new games. I enjoyed it for a good amount of hours and then my younger brothers fought over playing it and got more hours out of it. Good game, not quite as addictive as pokemon though ;)

@Snaileb
Your overall objective is to raise the level of your garden.
New pinatas appearing, visiting, becoming residents and romancing all get you XP. Also, growing new types of plants and flowers does the trick.
There are more advanced ways of getting XP (master romancer awards, growth bonuses for plants, etc.), but concentrate on the basics.
Once your level goes up, you get new tools, new plants, new pinatas, and alot more room for your garden.
Oh, and if you need moneys, grow chilis (22 to buy, sell for 100). Grow like 30 at a time. They don't require much care. Just watch and water 'em for a minute or 2 til they're done growing, then rake the cash in.
And tip the beggar 1000 coins.
