Man I have been trying to get into this forever, but I'm just not jive enough. That and I keep getting an error telling me my GT doesn't exist.

It doesn't use your gamertag for tracking or anything, you need to create an account on the GH site and then to link your game to that account you use some code found on the Xbox live menu in-game (I think it's on "www.guitarhero.com" option).

Interesting...I just examined the "link account" area and it seems you do require to input your gamertag along with the "VIP Passcode".

That wasn't there when I linked it a couple of days after GH3 came out.
