As many of you may already know, I'm hosting tonight's festivities in Call of Duty 4.

Some of you may also know that participation in recent COD4 FNFs have been lackluster at best, nonexistent at worst. I just want to say: I understand.

I understand that you may not have had the time or the incentive to play COD4, what with all the new games coming, why play such an old game?

I understand, being that we are currently on the advent of one of the busiest Fall release schedules ever. I understand that you have other games to play. Maybe you haven't finished Mega Man 9 yet. Maybe you recently purchased WipeOut HD and have been too busy being immersed in a world of high speeds and techno. Maybe you are one of the lucky few who had the privilege of gaining access to the LittleBigPlanet beta. You've been busy, I understand.

What I don't understand is how you could allow the good name of Destructoid to tarnished. While you were leaving us behind to fend for ourselves, you decided "just one more race." The once intimidating and terrifying Destructoid Army has been reduced to just another bunch of guys who have the same clan tag. We were feared once. Children would cry and run to their mothers at the first mention of the Destructoid Army. Animals would void their bowels at the very sight of us, an unstoppable killing machine who's only goal and strategy was to rape and pillage everyone without a name over their head (and, on occasion, the ones with a name over their head).

So I humbly ask you, take back up your arms and fight. Many of us aren't likely to play COD4 ever again, so what say you? Should we give the old girl one last go? Should we make the Destructoid clan the unstoppable and well-lubricated killing machine that it once was? Just one last time, before COD4 goes on your shelf forever?
