Well... Seeing that I have never played Fable, nor any other Molynuex game, and witnessing Rob Summa go batshit over this game at GDC 07, it has a lot of hype to live up to.

Also, I am Rainman when it comes to story driven games as well as fantasy stuff. Please keep this in mind. I am an arcade kid. I hit buttons. Stuff happens. I hit more buttons. More stuff happens. I dont look for the meaning of life in games. I like to blow shit up, Shoot people, and... well, the first two cover it.

I have met with Peter Molynuex on many occasions and really think the guy knows his shit and wants gaming to be better. He is one of few devs in this industry that impresses me.

That being said, so far I am really enjoying the game. I cant say much yet as there is a happy little NDA and letter from Mr. Molyneux. Here is what I will say in my own Rainman terms.

The intro into the game is cool.
The dog is actually fun to have around.
Farting in front of people makes them laugh and is fun. (In the game not in RL)
The lighting has some effects that I havent seen yet in gaming. Every snowflake even has a slight hit of blume and blur and it looks great. Really subtle but much apprectiated.

I dont know how to explain without giving things away but lets just say I understand who I am a little better.

I have no idea what I am doing but it seems to be working out. I dont really understand why I need to make people laugh or smile. I kind of get it but dont fully comprehend why it matters and what the affects are later. I assume I shouldnt?

I have already tried to bang a chick in my village. She is hot. I hit on her. Im not sure what happened.
You can swim! Dog can swim... holy shit the dog jumped off of a fucking cliff to follow me into the water.

When you kill something you take its little orb thingies and your orb thingy goes up. I know, bad explanation.

The dog finds treasure for you. That fucking dog rocks! You can give quick commands to the dog. I havent made him cry yet. When he finds something cool he barks and points at it like a setter.



Ohhh by the way. Kicking the shit out of chickens is fun!

there is a cool glowing particle effect trail that guides you when you get lost. You probably wont need it but my dumbass is taking full advantage.

Everybody talks like Wardrox and Pie Own Nix Blood. Its hot.

LT focuses your view when something meaningful is happening. Kind of cool. Otherwise I wouldnt have a clue what to look for.

Wow the menu opened up a new option and its cool. When you want to add abilities it shows you a mini-video and the lady explains it. Nice touch.

I like this menu though. This is the stuff in games that I never understand. I made it through Morrowind beating people with a sword keep in mind here.

Now Im messing around with the way my Hero looks.
You can take off his pants. His clothing makes a difference in his "Attractiveness" level.
I have a -15 on my clothes. I need to get some new drawers ASAP. Damn I should have took a pic of that hot chick in town. She had a little heart above her head. I assume thats Fablespeak for "I want to bang you right now" or "Lets get Jiggy wit it."
It shows what tricks my dog can do but I have no idea how to make him do them.

I like the camera. Moves fast enough and has a soft spring to it so its not super jerky. Floats up but doesnt auto centre completely which I like.
The tutorial mode isnt very intrusive or annoying. BTW I dont read the books that come with games.
