This appears to be the figurine or toy that is going up for sale around the movie Cloverfields release. Nothing is 100% but what do you think?

...That sort of looks like another incarnation of Godzilla to me, but it could be. I thought the monster was supposed to be some sort of insect, but maybe that's old news that was already proven wrong.

I think it could be real, but from the production notes I downloaded about Cloverfield talk about the creature knocking down bridges with it's long tail, so it could be anybody's guess.

I believe that monster has been confirmed as something other than the Cloverfield monster. It WAS created by Peter Konig, and Konig DID work on the film, but that model is actually from an unrelated video game project Konig is working on.

As LostChrichton said, the monster reportedly has a long tail. You can read a review of the film here, but beware of spoilers.

It seems that there are smaller monsters in the movie. In the preview you hear them cry "We've got a bite!" and then they do whatever to that woman behind the curtain. If a 12 story monster bites you, you're a goner. Maybe that thing is one of the smaller monsters.

yeah i heard it was confirmed for something that is not cloverfield related. shame. although heretic's idea would make a far more interesting movie.

I think there are multiple monsters in the film, as I think the film has something to do with the monster breeding.
So this could be a smaller one or something

shinobi naruto. the smaller monsters in the movie are some weird 8 legged crabs. i think their sapose to be parasites of the monster i posted above.

Yeah, Pedro is right. Apparently that artwork is the closest thing we have until we actually see the film. Apparently the artist saw the film and drew that not long after.

The thing he drew are the things that fall off the monster......not the actual monster these fall off the bigger monster and attack people:)Kinda like the monster had crabs hehe
